Unless Hendo KO's Shields, I think theirs a very good chance Shields will win the fight. His BJJ is top notch,and his grappling is very good. I could see Shields getting Hendo on his back and sub'ing him, hell I could see him get a standing choke like he did against Robbie.

Oh, someone else said GSP couldnt sub Alves, so you dont think Jake could. That makes no sense. Jake's submissions are way better then GSP's(who couldnt even kimura Kos.). Also Alves got sub'd by Fisher, so to think Shields couldnt do it is stupid.

If Jake comes to UFC IMO it will be at 170, which is a divison of good wrestlers...if Jake can not get the take down then what? his striking is not good. He would suffer some violent KOs in the 170 divsion in the UFC cause he can not get the fight down to ground.

Shields subb'in Hendo? Whose only been sub'd by litterally the best in the world, is gonna get sub'd by Jake Shields? No offense bud but I cant see it happeneing, I would take a cash bet to say thats the last thing that happens.

And eventho I dont personally like the guy, Kos seems to be a hard guy to finish, especially on the ground.

But to bring up the fact that Alves got sub'd by Spencer waaaaaay back in 05' is just stupid, THAT WAS 5 YEARS AGO. What has Spencer done since then? He's rounded out the bottom 10-15 in the LW division since then. While Alves has been on a wrecking path going 9-2 since then. ONLY losing to GSP and Fitch, while finishing 7 out of those 9 fights. Its not hard to tell who would win between Alves/Spencer nowadays, so bringing up a fight that happened so long ago is a moot point IMO

Jake is a good addition to the UFC but IMO he wouldnt be able to get past Fitch Alves or GSP.

I dont think Hendo beats Shields.

I think Shields goes to the UFC.

I think he gets 1 fight then the winner of GSP/HARDY.

Also with Jake Shields being a coach on TUF you can't deny the possibility that he and dana white have had some sort of negotiations during filming...

Its not like the NFL where their is tampering involved....

and don't forget its Dana "Fucking" White.

Iv wanted to see shields in the UFC for a while now, he would make for some good fights(170). that being said i dont see him beating henderson in any way. Yes, he is better on the ground, but no way he gets hendo down or even really flusters him. He will be forced to stand with Dan. Dan has better standup, hits very hard, and has an Iron Chin. Shields will get KTFO. Im sure of it, but i would like to see him fight in the ufc.

Anderson is far from the best BJJ guy around. In fact he couldnt even finish Lutter with a triangle, it was the strikes that ended it. Also,Anderson was almost armbar'd by Lutter who was tired, and weak. Shields has a very good chance.

Agreed he is a hard guy to finish, but if you watch that fight with GSP, that Kimura was staring him in the face, and he even admitted he didnt know what to do. Shows how much he works on his BJJ.

Ok,for one. Its not an opinion that Jake has better BJJ then GSP.Its fact, as displayed by their record. Not to mention GSP didnt know how to sink in that kimura on Kos,and Shields would have went home with that arm. Also,yes Alves lost awhile ago,but that dosent mean it cant happen again. And yes your right, what has Spencer done, not much, so that tells you something about that sub being pulled off. And the fight happened, Spencer fights at a different weight, and Alves loses come to grapplers, isnt Shields a grappler?

Shields owned Robbie, and I think hes just as dangerous as Alves is. I think a fight between Shields and Fitch would be great, its far to close to tell. And I think GSP would destroy Jake, I think Jake would sub Anderson,and I fucking love Anderson. Just gotta give credit where its due.

The only part of this I don't agree with is Jake being better on the ground. Jake's BJJ is better, but Dan is a way better wrestler. If it goes to the ground Dan will control everything that happens with superior wrestling and the fact he is naturally way bigger and stronger.

I think he is going to KTFO Jake at the end of the first or early in the second, though.

Dan is way better wrestler, no way Shields gets him down. All i was saying is that shields only shot is to get dan to the ground and be on top. but that wont happen. if it does hit the ground dan will be the one on top for sure. Doubt that he will take it there. That fight is going to end badly for shields
