I have no idea who is better, the jury is still out. But I'm not about to dismiss Carwin's ground game as so many others do, particularly when Waterman also stated that his submission game is well above lesnar's.
rh | Agree and had posted in a prior post if using DI has to be better than DII wrestler than Fedors is not as good as a top UFC fighter cause the UFC is bigger. I know their are plenty here that will argue with that. lol |

I think if we learned anything from UFC Primetime: GSP vs Hardy, it's that the UFC hype machine is actually a powerful tool. It's really hard to understand how Mir is regarded so highly with a win over Kongo--a fight everyone should have expected Mir to win in the first place. Do people actually think bulking up in size is really going to make Mir a much better fighter? I guess we will see soon enough but like I said before, I don't see him beating Carwin and I definitely don't see him beating Cain, GG,JDS or even Nog in a rematch.

Frank Mir's game is pretty flawless. He had a gameplan against Brock, but brock was too big. Lets be honest too, Brock is NO Mixed Martial Artist. He is a wrestler and he has grenades for hands. He's the future of the Heavyweight division for one reason: His size. I think there is no longer a time where heavyweights can come in under the weight cap and expect to compete. Obvious exceptions are JDS, Arlovski, Fedor, and Nog. I don't think guys like Gonzaga, Randy, or CroCop will ever hold titles in the division.
That said, I don't think Mir's size is about having MORE strength than Brock. If Mir only bridges the gap, he should be able to tear a limb off the guy.
As for Carwin. He is way too sloppy to win the fight against Frank. Mir by Submission in round 2.

His wrestling is weak. How often do you see Frank Mir stop a takedown? Also, who knows how his cardio is. It's always been his weak point and we haven't seen him go the distance in a while. Considering he has added weight, it should be more of a factor.
His striking has definitely improved especially since he has gone back to southpaw (like he was prior to the accident) and his biggest weapon is his confidence it seems. He has also been training much more than before, which is something he wasn't doing much but to say it's flawless makes me question your knowledge in MMA.
