| The Next Contenders
So BJ has Edgar, GSP has Hardy, Silva's got Maia, Machida gets to deal with Shogun again, and Lesnar has either Mir Carwin or Velasquez.
But who's next for these guys? some divisions have been almost cleaned out, while others have multiple possible Contenders up to bat. who gets a shot at the belts next? and why?
LW- This depends, cause if Edgar wins, I think it'll be a rematch for BJ. But if BJ wins like every assumes he will, then it will be Maynard's chance. Even though he deserves it more then anyone, He'll be the last person i expect to beat him.
WW - If Hardy wins then i think it will be the winner of Fitch and Alves. But if GSP wins, I think it will be the winner of Kos and Daley.
MW - Belfort was undeserving of his shot to begin with, and now that Sonnen has the #1 contender's shot, he'll be the next one fighting for the belt whether it's Maia or Silva who come out victorious. Meanwhile Belfort should fight Nate the Great to be next in line.
LHW - Whoever wins the upcoming rematch between Machida and Shogun makes no difference, for the winner should be fighting lil Nog for the belt.
HW - I think Velasquez will fight Brock first, due to a cut or injury to the winner of Mir and Carwin (Carwin) and then Carwin will get his shot after, whether it's against Brock or Veslasquez.
So what do you guys think?

LW - IF, and this is a big IF, Gomi beats Florian then I think he'll get rushed to the front of the line. If Kenflo wins then Maynard will get the next shot at Penn.
If by Edgar is able to pull of the upset of the century then the winner of Florian-Gomi should get the next shot.
WW - 100% agree with your assessment. If GSP wins then he gets the Kos-Daley winner but if Hardy wins he gets Fitch or Alves.
MW - Chael Sonnen's the #1 contender and should get the next shot no matter who wins silva-maia.
If Silva wins I'd make the next #1 contender bout Belfort-Wanderlei. If Maia somehow were to become champ I'd make it Belfort-Anderson.
LHW - Whoever wins Machida-Shogun 2 should fight the winner of Rampage-Rashad. Any mix of those 4 guys would be a huge main event.
HW - I'm sick of these dumb interim titles, but the Mir-Carwin winner will deserve the next crack at Lesnar. If Mir wins he will have recently beaten Big Nog, Kongo, and Carwin, which is more impressive than Cain's resume of Big Nog, Kongo, and Rothwell. If Carwin is victorious his wins over Mir and Gonzaga would also be more impressive than Cain's resume imho.
We wouldn't want Cain to stay inactive for too long though, so I'd love to see him face the Dos Santos-Gonzaga winner in a #1 contender bout.

I agree with those four, accept i don't think rampage will be in another title fight, and I don't know if I want to see Rashad and Machida again. But we shall see, the Light heavyweight division is so full with strong fighters, it would be hard for them to make a boring or uninteresting title fight or #1 contenders fight, so only time will tell.

LW - BJ vs Maynard or Gomi (if he wins)
WW - GSP vs Daley if he wins (don't think Kos will get a shot) or Fitch if he wins (too many wins in a row to not get another shot)
MW - Silva vs Sonnen
LHW - No matter who wins, Couture is next in line for a shot. Rampage won't get it unless he signs a new contract, lil Nog is too new to the UFC fans, and Couture will have 3 wins in a row if he beats Franklin (and the fact that the UFC loves putting Randy in title fights).
HW - Winner of Velasquez and Dos Santos will fight Brock, once Lesnar destroys Carwin/Mir

Ya I think LHW is the hardest here. There is pretty much a consesus here for LW, WW, MW, and HW. LHW though is complicated. The way I would like to see it is
If Machida wins:
I think if Rampage wins and wants a title shot he deserves is, if Rashad wins he probably doesn't get another shot quite yet. He might fight the Forrest/ Lil Nog winner. However, since there is a lack of opponents for Machida if Rashad wins, Lil Nog/Forrest might get the title shot and Rashad could maybe face the Couture/Franklin winner, with Couture and Evans needing just that win for a title shot.
If Shogun wins:
It is down to Anderson and Rampage. I think Anderson probably has the first chance if he wants it. This would probably give Rampage the winner of Forrest/Nog, since he wants his rematch against Forrest and Nog is probably needs to fight to stay busy if Shogun wins. If by some chance, Rampage and Anderson both lose, it will either go to Rashad or Forrest/Nog.
That division has alot going on right now, since none of the champs since Chuck have put together and lengthy streak. There's alot of exciting matchups and alot of guys looking for title shots.
The 3 lighter divisions have champs who have absolutely dominated, and HW only really has 5 guys in the mix, with one or 2 being tossed out in the next week or so.

BJ vs Maynard or Gomi dont matter bj beats both 9-10 times
WW - GSP vs Daley cause Daley KOs KOS and the KOs GSP
MW - Silva vs Sonnen dont matter cause Anderson kills Cheal. The Vitor and there is a fight
LHW - Anderson If it is Shogun as champ, if not then Rasad gets the rematch after he beats Page.
HW - Cain get KOed and this year and out of the running. The winner of Carwin /Mir takes the belt from Brock and then gets KOed by JDS

| LW: I think whoever wins between Gomi/Florian deserves the shot, however I'd also be cool with a Maynard/Sotiropoulos showdown to decide as well. WW: I think if Fitch pulls out a win against Alves, he'll have gone 4 straight since the loss, and wins over studs like Thiago, Gono and Alves IMO have earned him another go. Winner of Kos/Daley is my contender in waiting. Then there's the possibilty of bringing in Jake Shields too.... MW: As much as I hate Sonnen, he's beaten Okami and Nate, which I think puts him at the front of the line. However from a BIG FIGHT standpoint, a showdown against the winner of Wand/Akiyama would be pretty amazing! I think Vitor has to get to the back of the line and earn the shot rightfully against Nate or Belcher. LHW: Right now, I have Lil Nog being the surefire number one contender once he gets past Forrest, but Randy Couture will have a really really solid argument if he beats Franklin or whoever, having rattled off three BIG LHW wins in the past six or so months. Other than that, I have guys like Rashad and Rampage a little behind the pack. HW: If Dos Santos can get past Gabe, that'll be five wins in a year and a half, over REALLY great competition(Crocop, Yvel, Gabe and Werdum) and I think he's more seasoned to truly weather the storm that Lesnar offers. He's never gone the distance and he's only getting better. Cain's also great and really evolving as he progresses, the Nog win on top of the Rothwell and Kongo victories impress me alot, but I fear he's not as far along as Cigano and a step up to the much more massive Lesnar so fast may be TOO MUCH. Maybe winner of Mir/Carwin first, but really, I'm good with him getting the shot if it happens. I just think Dos Santos is much more prepared.

LW: The winner of Gomi vs. KenFlo or maybe ole boring Maynard. lol
WW: I think it could be Thiago if he wins his next bout or the winner of Semtex vs. Koscheck.
MW: I'm pretty sure itll be Chael considering hes the #1 contender or maybe Dana will set up a Chael vs. Belfort.... im just throwing that idea out there lol.
LHW: now this is a tough one... umm... i guess maybe the winner of Rampage vs. Rashad.
HW: I think JDS if he wins or maybe a JDS vs. velasquez to see who gets the title shot.
I guess i didn't really need to put this all down as my choices are basically the exact same as everyone elses haha.
