Snakebite: True, but while GSP has been fighting Alves, Fitch, and Penn, Fedor has been fighting a middleweight, a 12 foot tall Korean, and Andrei Arlovski. Throw Tim in there as well. Even an unproven Rodgers. Georges' competition is of a higher level.

When he fought Tim, Tim was ranked Top 3...FACT

When he fought Andrei, Andrei was ranked Top 3...FACT

When he faces Werdum, Werdum is ranked top 10...FACT

So 4 top 10 HW's in a row and some how Fedor isn't facing anybody? That is the dumbest thing I've heard yet. Go to another forum board that bashes Fedor without facts.

My wife and I were on the edge of our seats the entire fight. Hardy proved he was tough, but I still think he's mediocre (my opinion). GSP put on a clinic for sure, but I think Hardy was too strong for him (stronger than Alves). He wasn't able to gain a comfortable position and rein down some elbows.

Have you eaten paint chips at all in your life? So you're telling me that Tim, AA, Brett, and Werdum have never been ranked top ten until they got a fight with Fedor? Because if you are, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard on these boards...and that's saying something.

I bring facts to my discussion, I have no idea what that was you brought.

I thought the fight was exciting. Its one thing to lay on an opponent but its another to be extremely active passing guard and going for submissions. On the few occasions GSP was looking to strike on the ground I didn't think he was effective. The fight would have been stood up due to lack of damage.

Its a different approach compared to Fitch. Fitch might be active on the ground but he lacks variety and fans get tired of that. His great wrestling doesn't need to stop with taking someone down. Pass guard, force bad positions on your opponent, and then make them pay for scrambling.

Sakara, relax. I wasn't rying to speak poorly of Fedor, but rather counter-point another member's blind favoritism. Trying to compare Fedor's last fights to George's is absolute absurdity. Fedor is a great fighter... FACT. Rankings are subjective... FACT.

You saying George has fought the higher caliber fighters is subjective...FACT.
