Regardless of what they were counting, it was a different ref and none of this should be in this thread.
I get that the guy did a crappy job, but lets not throw every bad call in his direction as well.
Rosenthal really did nothing wrong there but assume that these guys would behave professionally. The ref shouldn't have to stand on top of them to pull them apart after a tapout.
On a related subject, everyone seems to agree Big John is the god of mma refs, but please go back and watch Mark Coleman's debut main event vs. Don Frye. Not quite the impartial party in his early years.
