yea, nelsons ground game is pretty slick, whether you like him or not. I remember watching him vs mir in a grappling tourney and he beat mir... albeit that was a long time ago, but still.

I like Nelson. More for his personality than his ability, but that is not to say he is a bad fighter by any means. I just like the fact that he's always goofing around and enjoying himself.

As the founding member of the MMANEWS Roy Nelson Bandwagon, I can't wait until he knocks the hell outta Struve.......
But it will get changed to a no-contest in a few weeks after Big Country tests positive for Whoopers.

lol at the whooper comment and the picture.
but seriously. anyone who have any doubts about Roy is an idiot. he was a champ at IFL. he is very tough and he has EXCELLENT BJJ. He destroyed that kid at the end of TUF and now Struve.
I would love to see Mir vs Roy now. or Roy vs Dos Santos. or better Roy vs Big Nog.

cant wait for his fight with JDS at 116. No way he wins like he did today. JDS is a much better striker than struve and roy is going to try to get it down as soon as possible. This fight makes a lot of sense. We need to see how good JDS's takedown defense if he wants to fight a brock, cain, carwin, etc. And if roy gets jds down can he handle himself. If roy does try to stand with JDS than it will be a repeat of his fight with AA

roy destroyed struve in just the fashion most thought he would. i say give him kongo next... a potentially dangerous, big named opponent i have no doubt he can beat. there's no reason to rush him to the front of the pack as the title picture is already backed up for a year with fights.
IMO, he was going to win that fight against arlovski if it wasn't erroneously stood up
