| Ross Pearson
How impressive is Ross Pearson? His fight with Dennis Siver last night was sick, which earned them 'Fight of the Night'. I think Pearson should start to face tougher competition within the top 10 of the division because he is definately ready for it. I dont know why but something feels special about the well rounded and explosive Ross Pearson and I think we will be watching him rise to the top level at LW..........Anyone disagree? And who should he fight next?

I discussed him a bit in the fight night thread, so i won't go too in depth this time, but ya, very very impressed by Pearson so far, especially Wednesday night. very good hand and head movement. Dennis Siver isn't a walk in the park, he's a tough guy with a great chin and Pearson picked him apart.
My decision in the other thread was to give him someone like him that he can stand up and bang with to test his chin. I'm thinking Stout and Fisher. Two tough guys that can give punches and take punches for three rounds.

Joe Stevenson? I admit he'd be a pretty damn big test for someone like Pearson. How about Guida or another good ground guy like Joe Lauzon. For testing his standup I think that Spencer Fisher would be a damn good but winnable test.
He was impressive but he appeared to take a lot of punches to the ole face as well. Props to him for having a great fight though!

I say give him either Joe Lauzon or Mark Bocek. Both are great grapplers and we need to see what Ross has on the ground. He popped back up when Siver took him down but that was Siver taking him down. I think a fight with Bocek would be great. And I still thik Bocek won that fight against Jim Miller.

i think a good test would be joe daddy. the only weakness i can see right now from pearson is his takedown defence and his ground game. i think joe daddy would be the perfect guy to test that.

IMO I think his next logical opponent should be Sam Stout. They both need paths to follow. The end result of that fight will dictate both fighters path to reality. It will also give us an indication of where this LW division begins and where the gatekeepers live

What about Neer? He seems to be a good standard, if you can get past him then you are ready for a step up, or maybe even Danzig. Mac is at the point of needing to win or leave and Ross will definately bring the fight to him and Mac is beatable.

And Guida is a great fight as well. There are a lot of good fights for Pearson at this point. the LW division has a lot of gatekeepers, so his next matchup will be a good one for sure.
