I really don't see Fedor leaving Pride, i can see him trying to work a deal in which he can fight for both. If they don't allow him to, then i see him staying with Pride. I know one thing, that Silva/Aleks fight is a setup for a possible Silva/Fedor fight. If he beats Aleks then it'll have a nice little story behind it and they'll push it as a guy who might actually be able to beat him. I'd rather see Fedor fight Mirko and Barnett over at Pride so i hope he doesn't do anything crazy and sign with these guys long term. | I bet there are a lot of people that would like to see this fight. You are telling me you wouldn't watch? I agree that he shouldn't jump to Bodog, but fighting there won't hurt anything. I think Monson would match up pretty good with Fedor. I'm not saying he would win, but I wouldn't say he doesn't have a shot. They are around the same size, if Monson can stop Fedor from knocking him out, I can see the possibility of a Sub from Monson. I think this will be a great fight to watch and i will be getting the PPV for sure. It will be interesting to see what happens with the rest of this PPV, it's the same night as UFC 68.
Here is a interesting question, if Fedor was open to signing with a company other than Pride, why is Dana and the UFC not all over it? If Fedor does sign with Bodog I would have to say that Dana is full of shit when he says he wants the best fighters in the UFC. He could have made this deal for Fedor to fight Sylvia on the same night instead of Vera.

Don't show me links to Dish network or a cable company either cause they don't always update their stuff right away. I want to see a link on the mma site that maybe i missed. I thought Nam even told me it wasn't on ppv now? A little help here because i really want to see this fight. | I have already ordered Bodogs PPV for tonight. $29.99. Bell Expressvu(Canada) is where I have found it.

| Look to see Pride purchased
Honestly guys, I think this guy Calvin Arye is aiming to purchase Pride. The Pride logo is bigger than and more valuable than ever (remember, Pride and DSE are not the same thing), and Arye has been working with Pride (to what degree, I don't know) since he began his run in MMA.

I'd rather have Fedor/Mirko Fedor/Barnett like it should be.
The ppv i was talking about was next week's with Nam Phan vs Josh Thomson not tonights. I don't think it's on ppv and that's the card i'd rather see.

Is Bodog not just and advertising sponsor. They are listed with Bud and other sponsors on the Strikeforce website. I don't believe however that it is part of the Bodogfight promotion itself, just a way to get their name out there with MMA fans. Strikeforce has been going for much longer.

being a Gracie Fan i am pulling for Roger but i dont care about him beating ron watermans ass. but this could really put Josh Barnett and Mirko in their own respects as the Pride Champs... thats if he does goto bo dog.. and if he signs something long term... i really think when vera wins the title and defends its to prove he is the best fighter in the UFC HW division "not say much for that" but his one goal is to beat Fedor and he thinks hes a few years away from it. i think if in march he wins against Sylivia he will probably fight AA and that could be a tough one but i see vera winning that fight... then a second try from Tim with a loss. I dont know Wandy or Shoguns contract details but if they end up anytime in 07 If one goes im sure the other will follow.. Congrats for fedor.. hes proven hes far superior to PRIDE.

| www.mmaweekly.com now says that it's confirmed. Various sources have speculated for the past few weeks that Fedor Emelianenko, highly regarded as the top fighter in the world, had agreed to fight in St. Petersburg, Russia for mixed martial arts upstart BodogFight. Fedor’s signing has now been confirmed.
A report by Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross has sited sources within the BodogFight front office as confirming that Fedor Emelianenko has indeed signed to headline their March 3rd fight card.
With a clause in Fedor’s contract with Pride allows him to fight in his home country of Russia, regardless of the promoter, initial speculation was that this would be a one-time deal. According to Gross that may not be so, “One Bodog source indicated that the well-financed company intends to sign Fedor to a long-term deal.” His fight on New Year’s Eve against Mark Hunt is the final fight on his contract, leaving him free to reconsider his long-term options.
After losing their network television deal earlier this year, losing Fedor would be another big blow to the Pride Fighting Championships. One that they don't need as they are trying to make inroads into the Ultimate Fighting Championship's dominance in the U.S. market.
Both Gross’ report and independent MMAWeekly.com sources indicate that Fedor’s likely opponent for the March 3rd show is former UFC heavyweight contender Jeff Monson.
