Wow, I guess Bodog is for real huh? Fuckin A. PRIDE just shit themselves. This is very big news. It makes alot of sense with the great Bodog/Red Devil working relationship.
The article also mentions a Antonio Silva/Aleks Emelianenko match. These 2 were originally supposed to face off at 2H2H-Pride And Honor last month, but Silva had to pull out of the fight due his Bodog fight with Eric Pele. I'd really love to see these 2 square off.

Wow, this is huge. If they sign him long term as the article suggests, this greatly changes the MMA landscape both in North America and the world. With this signing, I am more inclined to believe that Pride is indeed having financial troubles. There is no way that any org would let their top draw go, let alone the best fighter in the world if they were not having difficulties. I also have more faith in the Dana White claim that they will be signing more international (Pride) fighters this upcoming year. However, Dana now has to deal with a deep - pocketed org on his own turf.
Very Interesting.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say this fight is crap. Who the heck wants to see the #1 fighter in the world go against a guy who just got beat by the UFC's HW champ who gets critized every minute as being some imposter champ (not my words but a lot of people)?? I really don't see Fedor leaving Pride, i can see him trying to work a deal in which he can fight for both. If they don't allow him to, then i see him staying with Pride. I know one thing, that Silva/Aleks fight is a setup for a possible Silva/Fedor fight. If he beats Aleks then it'll have a nice little story behind it and they'll push it as a guy who might actually be able to beat him. I'd rather see Fedor fight Mirko and Barnett over at Pride so i hope he doesn't do anything crazy and sign with these guys long term.

Fedor makes the most out of anyone in PRIDE per fight, I don't see him leaving PRIDE at all. The clause will probably remain the same in his next contract - he'll still be able to fight in his own home country. Unless Bodog wants to risk financial crisis or somehting, I don't think Fedor will ever go long term with them, and even with + $, there' s no reason to go down to like the D-League, he's arleady in the most competitive MMA org PRIDE..
I guess the 1st fight of his new contract (after Hunt) will be Mirko's due title shot.

This is definitely not the news that Pride needs to be hearing right now when they plan on expanding on their shows and moving into America.

Well, I read in an interview that Ayre was going to go after the absolute best and that money would be no issue, sorry I can't remember where I read it, but it was in actual print, not the internet. The interesting part of the article posted on sherdog was that they were negotiating for a long term deal. Even though Pride pays top dollar, they cannot match the pockets of Bodog.

I don't see Fedor signing a long term deal with an upstart. Deep pockets or not with so many of the top HW already in contracts with either Pride or Pride. I see him fighting for bodog because he gets to fight in Russia. But I may be wrong, this could be the begining of fighters writing their own destiny and not being locked down by a promoter. This could be the begining of the "free agent" fighter.
I've have been saying for awhile that Pride could be introuble and 2007 could sadly be their last year. Dana has come out and said now that he sees all the big fights the fans want happening in 2007 and 2008. We'll see if by march the UFC picks up 2-3 of Prides big draws that could be it.
Monson vs Fedor, Fedor probably knocks him out. We know Fedor won't sit on his heals like Sylvia. But has Fedor ever fought a guy with Monson's grappling resume?
