| Aaron Simpson vs Chris Leben moved to TUF 11 Finale Main Event card - SIMPSON VS. LEBEN ON TUF 11 FINALE MAIN CARD- MMA WEEKLY - Mixed Martial Arts & UFC News, Photos, Rankings & more Quote:
A change has been made to the upcoming middleweight fight between Aaron Simpson and Chris Leben, as they have been moved from UFC 114 in Las Vegas on May 29, to the June 19 card that will serve as the finale for the eleventh season of the Ultimate Fighter.
The movement of the fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Monday by sources close to the bout, who also stated the fight will now be on the main televised card for the Spike TV broadcast.
After dropping back-to-back fights, Chris Leben bounced back with a strong win over Jay Silva at UFC Fight Night in January. The former Ultimate Fighter competitor is 3-2 in his last 5 fights, and he's hoping to build on the January win with this fight.
Stepping in to oppose Leben is undefeated former Arizona State wrestling coach, Aaron Simpson who will try to move his record to 3-0 in the UFC after moving there when the WEC decided to do away with their middleweight division.
Simpson trains alongside fellow UFC fighters Ryan Bader, C.B. Dollaway, and Jesse Forbes, and will build his training camp in Arizona. |

o my heavens no. If Leben doesn't bring it he will never see the main event slot again (unless he wins a bunch of fights in row... I guess).

Simpson will trade with him, and then if he's smart he will take him down and either grind out the decision or use his wrestling to try and utilize some ground and pound and get the tko. Simpson is a finisher though and Leben definitely needs to bring something new to the table......like cardio.

Simpson pushes such a brutal pace and Leban's looked like garbage since he came back since suspension, that I think this fight's gonna be a routing. This fight was buried where it was, this is a smart move to showcase two name fighters.

I'm still pissed that Simpson got the decision over Lawlor. Oh well. Simpson by UD.

If Leben takes training seriously, this can be a great fight. He's looked tentative lately, like he doesn't feel he can land the left anymore, but it could just be that he is fighting tougher guys.

This will be one sided I believe with Leben as a punching bag...

I hope Leben is training hard because Simpson can definitely bring it for three straight rounds.

I like both guys, but this is not main event quality. Leben just does not have it in him anymore and I expect Simpson to have his way with him. That Lawlor fight though showed a bunch of holes in Aaron's game and this fight will offer him a chance to fill them up. I have Aaron via 30/27 UD
