it's too bad anderson is the champion, and has to keep defending the belt against regular people, after the fight against maia it's obvious anderson is a god and needs to fight other gods.

Just can't Anderson fighting at MW in his next fight.
I'd go with Sonnen v Belfort for number one contender and Anderson at LHW or even HW in his next fight and have him fight the no 1 contender in the second fight (and possibly last fight of his contract).
Having said that if he does well in his next fight they'll be calls for him to fight for the title at whatever different weight class he fights at next time.....major dilemma for Dana.

I'd rather see a Sonnen/Silva fight too. I'm not a big fan of Sonnen and I would love to see the interaction between these two considering how much Sonnen has said/will say and how "disrespected" Anderson will feel. Should be a good ol' grudge match, and at the very least if it's not an exciting fight then at least we'll be to hear some good trash talk.

I am not holding my breath. And who wants to start placing bets on when Soares/Silva starts saying Sonnen is an undeserving opponent until he pulls out with an "injury."

If this fights happens Sonnen is going to wipe the floor with Silva much like he did with Okami and Marquandt.

Like Joey said before, Hendo was able to control Silva on the ground and won a round until he decided to abandon his gameplan and stand with Silva. An over weight and out of shape Travis Lutter was clowning Silva on the ground until he gassed out in full mount and missed that arm bar. Chael will not try and stand with Anderson. I would even say that Chael has better MMA wrestling than Hendo.

...Dana White just confirmed on "Jim Rome is Burning" that in fact he will be fighting Chael Sonnen next.......and went on to say he had good conversation with Anderson for about 45 minutes after the press conference Saturday.

....He aslo said if Anderson ever acts like he did Saturday,that he will cut him from the UFC......I'm not sure if he would have the balls to do that.

This is Silva's punshiment, through out his entire career wrestlers have giving him his hardest fights. Only way silva takes this is with a flying knee or a trianlge. I picure this fight to go much like Silva's fight vs Carlos Newton but with Sonnen grinding out and gassing Silva.
