| Winner of Daley/Koscheck to coach TUF opposite Georges St. Pierre Quote:
MiddleEasy has some sad news for those still salivating for an Anderson Silva vs. Georges St. Pierre super-fight:
Today, I received an email from someone who trains in Team Roughhouse. Apparently over the weekend, Joe Silva called Paul Daley to let him know that the winner of his upcoming UFC 113 bout with Josh Koscheck will be the new coach on The Ultimate Fighter Season 12 with Georges St. Pierre coaching the opposite team. You're probably already putting the pieces together. Whoever is Georges St. Pierre's rival coach on TUF 12 will eventually face GSP at the end of the show and it will be for the UFC Welterweight title.
This confirms earlier rumors swirling from Dana White's statements a few weeks ago:
"I'm working on something right now that I can't talk to you guys about because I don't have it done yet," White said of the Koscheck-Daley fight, which takes place May 8 at UFC 113 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. "But it has to do with that fight, so we'll see what happens."
I have to admit, the winner of Koscheck vs Daley makes a very good case for a title shot, but I'm not a big fan of holding-up a title for several months so they can film and televise a reality show. Plus, having sniffed the idea of a possible dream match up between Silva and St. Pierre has already dulled my appetite in seeing GSP fight another welterweight contender.
| I don't love this, but I don't hate it either.

I'm so over this, waiting months for two guys to coach tuf before we finally "might" get to see them fight. More than once they've screwed us on finally seeing the match. In fact, this season, oh yeah and last season...
I would rather they make the coaches a revolving cast every week with different legends coming to help train the young guys. This serves two purposes to me. One, no delaying of title fights. Two, no worry of not delivering on a whole season of hype for a fight. Not to mention that it gives these guys a broad spectrum of talent to train and learn from.

But i don't like the idea of having the Welterweight title in limbo until the show's done, especially considering how long we waited for him to fight Dan Hardy. Now we have to wait until the Daley Koschek fight. Then for the show to go into production. Then for it to air. It's just a long process that isn't worth it for me, the consumer.
If I was making it I would have picked Penn and Edgar. Already some contraversy from the first fight. Both are good speakers, well rounded. Whereas with the potential GSP vs Daley TUF goes, We could have GSP, who is kinda annoying to listen to his Frenglais that he speaks, and Daley who has no ground game to teach his students (I realize Liddell doesn't have much to teach either, but he's a big name and has the resources to bring in Shields etc. for his team) so this could be a real snore of a season with a really shitty title fight at the end.
Penn and Edgar would have been good, or maybe have Marquardt and Belfort coach with them fighting at the end, winner gets a title shot. Now THAT's a season. Oh well, I'll still watch it........

Everybody remember when BJ asked the TUF cast of his season who'd rather be trained by him over Pulver? Well, now multiply that by a billion and that's what we're gonna get.
If Kos wins, he'll be obnoxious as fuck and GSP will exude utter class and I'm still not too sure Daley is mainstream enough to be a "coach", but IMO, if Daley wins, they'll be really driving hard for Shields. Would really have preferred Sonnen/Silva, now THAT would be must see TV!

I just don't like Ed Soares.
I'm rooting for Kos to win. Kos vs. GSP should be a good fight, at least better then the last few GSP fights.

I dont ever wanna watch GSP fight, i fucking hate the hold down method. The truth is the truth, and the truth is to be THE BEST pound for pound in the world you should be able to submit BJJ blackbelts and not be afraid to take it there, and stand and bang with K1 class strikers and not be afraid. Its one thing if your the basic champ or working your way up the ranks to win fights by any means but to be in the running for best EVER?!?! You better not just be holding guys down to a decision. Give me a break!! Yeah and im gonna be the best baseball player ever because i have 500 consecutive hits but there all bunts and i Never score.

Sucks for the people who get picked for Daley/Kos' team.

I want Semtex to win, so like that we will have a hard time understanding what the coaches are trying to say in their particular english.

If Daley wins, I'd be interested in seeing a UK vs. Canada TUF, to spice it up a bit and maybe take away from the glaring disparity between starpower between GSP & Daley, but I'd fear that it may take away from the predominanly young american male demo, but AT LEAST it'd be original.
