pride/ufc working 2gether??

just curious to know if anyone here knows exactly why ufc and pride don't do more talent exchanges? i mean we saw liddel in the middleweight tourney a few years ago and i'm sure it worked well for boh parties, imo. doesn't anyone else think that a pride vs ufc main event would draw?

I think the problem is that it's just not helpful for either organization from a pure business standpoint. You risk your fighter losing and thereby making your organization look bad and it only draws the dedicated fans that know about both orgs, which in this case is a minority.

exactly cause pride fighters make dana's poster boys look like shit. except for chuck

paul 06-20-2006 02:23 PM

i dont think pride fighters make all of dana's fighters look like shit i mean come on youve got liddell, franklin, hughes you can't leave out one of the most dominant welterweights ever, and arlovski is very good not all of ufc's guys are shit

nole 06-20-2006 02:25 PM

your right but dana tried it once before and look what happend

WandAXE 06-20-2006 03:56 PM

Honestly you think Franklin can hang with Henderson. No . AA would be ok but there is to much comp. He couldnt last with Fedor Nog Cro Cop . Hughes would be good but alot of talent in his class as well he wouldnt dominate like he does in UFC. Bottom line UFC as a whole dont have enough comp.

i agree there is alot more talent in pride, but there are still a few fighters who could hang from the UFC, Chuck, Hughes, AA, Terrell, Diego, Bisping, Evans, Swick, and Rich. I think all those fighters would be some what competitve in pride. But your right prides champs are better than UFC champs. Maybe with the exception of hughes

yumitree 06-20-2006 05:41 PM

ufc doesn't have competition for pride?

how about penn vs. gomi?

nole 06-20-2006 05:45 PM

i dont consider penn a UFC fighter he doesnt even consider himself one. He hates dana and thats why he lost to st.

I'm a huge Wanderlei fan but I have a feeling Chuck would beat him.

Heart....Wand > Chuck

Brain.....Wand < Chuck

***Disclaimer***
BTW, I am old school...not a new school Tuf fan. So don't even start with that chit. haha
