| Fighters who let you down time and time again
After Donald Cerrone let himself be quickly out worked and submitted with minimal resitsance, not only was I bummed, being a Cowboy fan and realizing that was probably his last shot, but I also felt robbed of what could have been another 5 round fight of the year. Who are some of your favorite fighters who never quite lived up to your hopes. Some others for me are:
David Terrel- for seemingly being made of glass
Josh Koschek- took the Alves fight on short notice (foolish and risky) when he was starting recover from the GSP fight, then getting KTFO by Paulo.
Liddell post title run- The dude never knew when to quit and is seemingly trying to match his KO losses with his KO wins on his record nowadays.
Trigg- Never beat Hughes
Belfort- For his weak mental game that has cost him EVERY fight he lost. On paper he could have scorched Liddell, Tito, Randy, and Hendo.
Shamrock- The man killed his legacy with stupid judgement calls and allowing himself to be booked against people way better than him.
Florian- Never won a title match or TUF
Mir- For his recent ass kickings
Razor Rob- The guy is a meiocre fighter and for some reason I'm a fan despite him hitting a slump and being let down
Sokoudjo- Tons of talent and can't put it together
Akira Shoji- ballsy fighter who always came up a tad short
Mousasi- right when I found a fighter I could nut hugg since Forrest, Liddell, Franklin, and Faber all hit slumps he losses.
Serra- for losing to the 3 fighters I hate the most GSP, Hughes, and BJ. He should have beat GSP and retired instead of taking that rematch lol
Lytle- For never putting it all together
Guida- see Lytle
Making this list makes me sad and very disgruntled.

ill add a few
thiago silva for going undefeated then going 0-2 vs top competition
coleman for not retiring
bonnar for doing roids then sucking it up after his suspension
fedor for not fighting anyone
kimbo for continuing to be relevant
mac danzig for never doing anything after TUF
also i dont think guida is a dissapointment i never expected him to be at the top of the division just to put on exciting fights which he definetly does

Andrei Arlovski's glass chin. If he could take a better shot he had a great skillset and game to really push Fedor. Going further back, he should have beaten Sylvia 2 of 3 or just 2 of 2, and the UFC heavyweight division might have unfolded in a very different way.
Miguel Torres. Hard to say "time and time again" when I've only seen him lose twice - but man. When huge favorites like that lose and lose big it always makes me wonder just how much merit rankings really have.
Anderson Silva One of the greatest fighters ever...but he is so far above his competition that he could be on a different plane entirely; he could be 11-0 in the UFC with 11 stoppages, but he chooses to demonstrate his superiority in other ways. He'll still go down as the most dominant UFC champion ever (IMO, already passing Hughes, Liddell, Tito) but man...his odd performances bring to mind the line from the movie The Natural, "yeah but I coulda been better. I coulda broken every record in the book."

Oh yeah, forgetting one of the biggest ever...Mirko Cro Cop. Everyone was expecting him to walk into the UFC and just plow through the division en route to the belt. IMO Cro Cop's UFC run after PRIDE is the biggest bust - the greatest fall from the greatest height - in the history of mixed martial arts.
Paulo Filho. So much talent, but dude is battling some serious issues. I really wish him well, I would love to see him compete in big-league MMA again.
Ryan Gracie. My favorite Gracie (edging out Royce by a nose) but see Paulo Filho above. Gracie had some issues and ultimately it cost him his too-young life. I LOVE watching Ryan Gracie's PRIDE fights, and it saddens me to realize that we'll never see this guy work again.

Brandon Vera- I always think he is going to come out of his shell and show his potential and yet every time he lets me down.
Fedors Managers- For not coming to some kind of deal so he can fight in the UFC.
Josh Barnett- For seeming to have the talent to possibly give Fedor his toughest fight and testing positive for steroids yet again.
Shawn Sherk- Im a huge fan of Sherk and every since he got busted for steroids he seems to think he is a pro boxer. Shawn lost something after failing that test. PLEASE get your head out of your ass and remember that wrestling got you were your at and not boxing.

I didn't even watch his fight against Benavidez because I didn't want my heart broken again.
Mike Tyson -- For, ya know, being Mike Tyson.
