No wonder we've been hearing about people leaving Pride soon. I hope WWE doesn't buy it, just imagine, they could do for MMA what they did for football.

The only thing worse than the WWE buying Pride would be the UFC buying Pride. With that much talent they would have to almost double the number of PPV's and shows that they have. Otherwise all the up and comers would be pushed to the side and it would eventually become stale.

Well we knew about the talks with WWE, but I didnt see Dreamstage approaching the UFC about purchasing Pride. If it is true I'm sure UFC is for sure interested.

Yeah That's just what we need... The UFC buying PRIDE, it would be a 60 PPV per year schedule with 2 good fights per card and 7 undercard/debut fighters among the shitty underskilled cans they already give us on 6 of the 8-9 fights on any given PPV.

I am really looking forward to this one...

Wow. Time for some serious change in MMA. The best case scenerio would be that UFC buys and pay the fighters well. Or maybe UFC can just buy the fighters and then leave the rest for whatever.

If UFC buys it at least we get the dream matches we've been needing, and they'll be pretty much all the real champions since most only recognize UFC or PRIDE title holders.

True and they could possibly do something like have 2 brands. 1 brand for the best fighters and then 1 brand for the newer upcoming guys that havent made it yet. It's either that or they would probably have to cut a lot of fighters or some would prob leave on their own due to not getting sufficient pay.

Dana is a marketing genuis, he would never do that because, personally (and I likely speak for the majority of the fans), if we were given the choice of the top fighters vs the up and comers or choosing "d" all of the above, I would just purchase and watch the cream of the crop and not what maybe the cream od the crop 5 years from now.

They would lose money if they broke it up into 2 orgs with 1 being stars and the other being up and comers.
