| Would Hughes Benift from not training with MFS?
As good of a camp as MFS is. Is hughes's style and training getting flat always working with MFS?
It seems like more and more the guys that get better by leeps and bounds with spending time training with other camps and trainers to elevate their game. GSP comes down to NYC to train with Renzo and his MT coach is in NY also. Rashad transformed into a completely new fighter after moving to Jackson's camp. Their are plenty of guys who will train with other camps to freshen up their game Vera and Loiseau went to work with lister and team punishment.
Just a thought that Hughes going and working with team quest or att, or laugh but chute boxe usa could really bring things out in his game that MFS isn't going to give him.
In this i mean no disrespect to MFS, for a bunch of wrestlers to go out and add a much more complete game is amazing and with the amount of top fighters that come out of their camp is very impressive. (joe silva must have pat's # set to 1 & 2 on his speed dial)
I think that Matt should work with another team for his next match and show us something new in him that someone else can bring out.

Yes all of them could get better if they went to other camps and diversify. I would venture that MFS is a business like any other American business where they don't want to have fighters cross-camping. But it would defenitely help the fighter and Matt Hughes is getting to old to do this.

I mean, realistically, the guy lost one fight so its probably a bit early to just jump camps. That being said, it never hurts to train with different people to learn and adapt to as many different styles as possible. I think he should stick with what has been working, and if he loses his next fight, then start to consider what he's doing.

If I were Hughes I would never leave MFS. One of the best camps out there imo. However, I think diversity is a good thing and he could benefit from training with other camps every once in a while.

I think so. However, that's like saying that Kobe Bryant would benefit from practicing with Detroit. Yeah, they specialize in different areas and bring out other aspects of their games. I highly doubt we will see this anytime soon. Matt dominated his weight class and lost one ugly fight. Hughes is good at what he does. He just needs to make sure he actually does it if he gets a rematch. He looked silly trying to trade punches with GSP.

Let's just get to the real question...
Could any fighter improve their skills tremendously by training with Chute Boxe?
Answer: Hell Yeah.

Kobe working out with detriot is 100% different than a fighter working with another camp. We are talking about an indivdual not a guy on a team, playing as a team.
is more like coke 2, sometimes you just need to try a different formula

I think he should stay where he's at so he keeps his stamina up and being comfortable helps alot also. I think he needs to bring in more fighters from different areas to train with him, that way he gets the best of both worlds and everyone at MFS would benefit as well...

one loss to another great fighter is not a reason to change your whole style it would benefit him to possibly bring in a different boxing or kickboxing coach

Training with other camps is a good way to expand any fighter's in-ring repertoire.
Honestly though, Matt just needs a gameplan against high calibre opponents. He needs to have his cardio at the best it can be. Then he needs to stick to what he does best... That not being his standup game.
