With Horn Out Who Is Lister's Next Opponent?
 

Now that Jeremy Horn has been released from his UFC contract, who will be Dean Lister's next ooponent? Does Lister stand to get a title shot in his next fight? UFC has never been shy about throwing a young fighter to a title match (St.Piere vs Hughes) and Lister did discard of Alessio Sakara rather easily.

Lister isn't too young (he's 30). I'm not sure who his next opponent would be... He fights at 205 and I dont' see him beating Liddell at this point so I don't know if they want to just throw him in there right now... I'd say he fights at least two more fights before getting into the title picture, against who I'm not sure, so I'm sorry it took me this long to not answer the question.

Lister wants to drop down to 185, right? He should fight Loiseau, Tanner, or how about this one... Dave Terrell?

yeah Lister is dropping down to 185 according to what he said after the Sakara fight. I'd like to see Lister vs Marquardt.

There is no way that Dean and Tito will fight each other. And Tito gets a title shot if he wins so it is kind of a mute point.

If he is dropping down to 185 then Dean should fight Marquardt, Terrell, Loiseau, Tanner or one of the top contenders in the division. Not just someone who is fairly unknown.

I want to see him drop down and get his ass kicked by terrell

I think Lister v. Tanner would be a good fight to watch. Might not be the most exciting match ever, but it would be technical enough.

I would rather see Tanner have a rematch with Terrell and lister fight Loiseau. But I think there is a good chance lister could fight tanner or Terrell at 62 or 63
