Pride Strike Deal to Broadcast Live on the Internet

This is the freshest news from Japan. My Japanese is sketchy at best, but this is what I understand from a press announcement made in Tokyo today.

Pride has announced a strategic partnership with Japanese broadcaster DMM.com. Unfortunately this isn’t the Live TV deal that was hoped for, but it is better than nothing.

For the first time ever, Pride will be shown on live streaming broadcast via www.DMM.com The duo of companies are also in talks about making the live transmissions free to watch.

A representative of the organisation said “Fighters always fight better in front of a large live audience. Whether people are watching live at home or live on their PC, the same effect is generated.”

Where in the article does it say anything the feed being free?

I would imagine that you have to pay the same price as you would for a PPV.

I hope it's not true.I hope Pride gets a real TV deal so they can be competitive.
