Default Pride FC..where should I start.

I didn't knew where to post this so I will just make it here. Today I went to Walmart and saw the Pride 2 pack combo (Championship Chaos 2 / Cold Fury 3) @ 15 bucks and decided to wait till I heard some comments on it before buy it. I also went to Suncoast and saw a Pride FC GP 2000 dvd @ 50 bucks and there was only one. Is this collection worth the 50 bucks? I recently did a search on ebay and only find one @ 78 bucks, is it an ultra rare DVD?

And I also saw the Pride FC legacy collections, the thing is I don't know where to start, as I love UFC but I also love MMA and want to get more into it by opening my options to other organizations like Pride FC.

Default Good start

The 2000 GP and the Pride Legacies are all good buys if you want to see the early history of Pride, such as the early careers of Mark Kerr, Sakuraba, and Wandy. If you want some more recent DVD's most of the Final Conflicts or Shockwaves for any year are all good buys.

Yes the Legacy Collections are the cheaper ones becasue they are 1-5, 6-9,11 and a volume 3 which I do not own. I have the first 2 Legacy collections, Mark Kerr, Sak, Rickson and Igor at their best.

Pride GP 2000 is a very rare dvd, it is also one of the best events if not the BEST event in MMA history, it is very hard to think of a better event than that one.

Championship Choas II is phenomenal, I paid $18.99 for it at Best Buy a while back and it was well worth it. This si the first time we wittness how domint Fedor is. He fights Heath Herring and both Bas Rutten and Steven Quadros pick Herring to win the fight becasue Herring is on a tear and we really knew nothing about Fedor. It also has Big Nog vs Semmy Schilt (Big Nog is the best grappler in the world of MMA, it is hard to argue that), Wanderlei Silva vs Kanehara (displays Silva's dominance), Arona vs Ninja.

There are other great fights on that disk as well. Cold Furry 3 I can' think of who is on that card off of the top of my head but I would imagine it is a great card as well. Other than the legacy volumes, every Pride PPV is purchase worthy or at least all of the ones I have seen or own.

When it comes to MMA, Pride is unmatched and it is good to see new people making the transition into MMA and not remaining strictly UFC, there are so many phenomenal fighters in Pride, K-1 heros has some greats as well, Cage Rage, Deep, KOTC, etc but Pride hold the overwhelming talent pool over any other organization in MMA, it is sickening when you think about it.

Yes High Octaine is one of my personal favorites as well, Silva vs Rampage II, one of my all time favorite fights.

Thanks guys for all your comments. I will go tomorrow and buy the 2 pack @ walmart. Hopefully I'llget hooked and if I'm lucky I could get the GP DVD in a couple of weeks as I don't think anyone will buy it since there's not many Pride or MMA fans in my area.

After you watch the 2000 OWGP, I want to know your opinion on whether Igor Vovchanchyn got the short end of the stick during this tournament.

Coleman gets an opponent that bows out as soon as the bell rings and Vovchanchyn fights to a decision in his previous bout. Thats crap. Vovchanchyn would have definitely beat Coleman if he came in fresh.

You can practically see the roids sweating from Coleman's body during this tournament.
