What does Shogun gain from beating Nakamura? And do you actually think Nakamura stands a chance? Please don't use the "it's a fight and anything can happen" argument.

Barnett posses a strong wrestling background, although not as good as Arona. And we saw the results in Arona v Silva. Barnett by submission. If you disagree, then let's have a sig bet. I'd rather see Arona vs Barnett.

Rumored to be an opponent for Nog is Fujita or Yoshida. Again, what does Nog gain from beating Yoshida or Fujita. I'm privvy these fights have the potential to be entertaining, but any Nog fight is. I guess I'm disappointed that Nog will not have the opportunity to avenge his loss to Barnett.

Fedor can end Hunt whenever he decides to.

I am not averse to the lightweights nor mentioned ill-prospects. It's funny how you justify the underdogs in said fights to imply my ignorance in MMA. I was only trying to communicate my disappointment (though i will still order) in this card.

Wouldn't you rather see:

Shogun vs Hunt
Fedor vs Barnett (if barnett wasn't overstrung by the amount of fights he's had this year)
CroCop vs Nog II
Arona vs Yoshida
Hendo vs Kang
Wandy vs Lil' Nog

You don't think these fights are in proportion to their typical events?
I agree. And nothing against japanese fighters but they just don't ever win against top notch fighters. I want great fighters against great fighters. Superstars figting against each other.

I wouldn't say Crocop is a better striker than Hunt.Hunt defeated Crocop in a stand up battle.

EASILY

Hunt is underrated. If anyone actually watched the fight (CC vs Hunt), Cro Cop was running away from Hunt. Hunt has incredible power in his strikes. I honestly would not be shocked if Hunt gives Fedor a really hard time standing.

I never use the "its a fight, anything can happen" or "punchers chance" for basis of one's chances to win a fight. Nakamura has decent standup and is an aggressive fighter, he is nowhere near as technical as Shogun but he has great Judo and was able to take down Randleman and keep him grounded so I think he would be able to hold down Shogun as well. At the Real Deal, randleman took down Shogun, I assure you Nak is just a little slicker on the ground than randleman and is not goign to leave a leg ot there to be wraped up. Shogun will be favored in the fight but to just scream "punchers chance" for Nak, that is just asinine.

I would not bet against Barnett in many matchups, including this one, his submission game is phenomenal, his wrestling is great and he can stand with the best strikers in the wrold and hold his own.

Wanderlei has the better standup and more power, if he can keep the fight standing for a while in the first round and land some decent punches and just survive, he will have his chances in the standup and Barnett is not like Arona, Barnett does not mind standing with better strikers than him, Arona does.

Nog vs Yoshida - Nog picks him apart standing, not exciting.
Nog vs Fujita - they will battle, both like the standup fight and both like the ground game, it would be an exciting fight, obviously I would pick Nog to win, but it is what it is, they do not want to setup rematch after rematch, there should be another Nog vs Barnett fight but Barnett fought 6 times in 06 inlcluding 3 fights within 27 days of eachother, he is battered and needs time to heal. Possibly February if they both escape unscathed.

Fedor can end any fight when he decides to, so should Pride just declare him unbeatable and force him to retire because there is no one who can beat him right now?

Call it what you would like, you are too quick to just write off the underdog.
You feel Hunt=No chance and Nak= No chance and I feel you=ridiculous statement.

Wanderlei vs Lil Nog is said to be set for February (not official but more than likely)

I would rather see Shogun vs Cro Cop
Hendo vs Kang or Filho vs Kang would be great
Arona vs Yoshida would consist of Arona keepingthe fight standing and destroying Yoshida, much like the Nog vs Yoshida possible matchup you complained about.

Yeah that fight was pissing me off ,when Crocop was litterally sprinting away from Hunt.Hunt took Mirko's best strikes and it didn't even faze him.No HW in mma can stand up with Hunt.

Yeah not likely, Semmy Schilt would be the best test for him though due to the huge size and reach and Schilt actually being a great striker for a man of his size. Very coordinated, probably could've played pro basketball and made million upon millions but he is doign very well not in K-1 and is raking in a ton of money, good for him, he deserves it, back to back K-1 GP champion.

I don't think you were the only one pissed off. The only credit in that fight I'll give to crocop is that he only did one takedown. If they fought again I could see crocop taking it to the ground and winning. On another note isnt anyone else suprised that hunt hasnt knocked anybody out sooner in his fights. His 3 ko's are first round 6 minutes, third round, and 4 minutes into the second round.

nog vs. yushido would be the shit, 2 of the best grapplers.
its bs how wand a top 205 is facing a top hw? its just going to do bad to his rep, even though he will lose to a guy way biggger then he is people out there will still make it look like wand sucks. wand is a top lhw, he shouldnt be facing top hw's, and the same goes with hendo, i could have sworn that there was a rumor for hendo vs. shogun. its a bunch of bs. hendo is at the top of the mw devision, shogun is at the top of the lhw devision. its obvious that shogun would win and that wouldnt be fair to hendo cause he would be losing to somebody bigger then him, its bs, them pride assbags r putting top condenders from different weight devisions aginst each other, it should be kang vs. hendo. also i would laugh my ass off if fedor tries to stand with hunt, he is a good striker but hunt would ko him easily, althought i think fedor will just easily take him down and sub him.

if they put hendo vs. wand or shogun there is going to be hell to pay, and it would be bs if they put wand vs. nog or barnett. it just makes top pride contenders look bad, whats next aa vs. liddell, silva vs. gsp. or silva vs. liddell.
