I never use the "its a fight, anything can happen" or "punchers chance" for basis of one's chances to win a fight. Nakamura has decent standup and is an aggressive fighter, he is nowhere near as technical as Shogun but he has great Judo and was able to take down Randleman and keep him grounded so I think he would be able to hold down Shogun as well. At the Real Deal, randleman took down Shogun, I assure you Nak is just a little slicker on the ground than randleman and is not goign to leave a leg ot there to be wraped up. Shogun will be favored in the fight but to just scream "punchers chance" for Nak, that is just asinine.

I would not bet against Barnett in many matchups, including this one, his submission game is phenomenal, his wrestling is great and he can stand with the best strikers in the wrold and hold his own.
Wanderlei has the better standup and more power, if he can keep the fight standing for a while in the first round and land some decent punches and just survive, he will have his chances in the standup and Barnett is not like Arona, Barnett does not mind standing with better strikers than him, Arona does.

Nog vs Yoshida - Nog picks him apart standing, not exciting.
Nog vs Fujita - they will battle, both like the standup fight and both like the ground game, it would be an exciting fight, obviously I would pick Nog to win, but it is what it is, they do not want to setup rematch after rematch, there should be another Nog vs Barnett fight but Barnett fought 6 times in 06 inlcluding 3 fights within 27 days of eachother, he is battered and needs time to heal. Possibly February if they both escape unscathed.

Fedor can end any fight when he decides to, so should Pride just declare him unbeatable and force him to retire because there is no one who can beat him right now?

Call it what you would like, you are too quick to just write off the underdog.
You feel Hunt=No chance and Nak= No chance and I feel you=ridiculous statement.

You don't think these fights are in proportion to their typical events? |
Wanderlei vs Lil Nog is said to be set for February (not official but more than likely)
I would rather see Shogun vs Cro Cop
Hendo vs Kang or Filho vs Kang would be great
Arona vs Yoshida would consist of Arona keepingthe fight standing and destroying Yoshida, much like the Nog vs Yoshida possible matchup you complained about.
