I dont think Sanchez should get a tittle shot untill he beats BJ or Hughes. I dont see how he is the number one contender over Penn or Hughes. Besides Diego isnt ready for GSP, kind of like when GSP wasnt ready for Hughes the first time. Its just not Diego time, it's all GSP for a while.

BJ came back to the UFC and lost to the #1 contender then to the champ. If anything I think he needs to rack up some wins before a remtach with GSP.

| I agree
yes I agree no doubt BJ Penn needs at least 2 wins at 170 to get in the title picture I think one solid win at 155 if he goes that route will have him in the picture there. Very feasible considering BJ Penn's talent, marketability and age.

Diego is coming off wins from Diaz, Alessio (guy was really boring) and Karo.
After defeating Karo, Diego's next fight is actually a step back as Karo is ranked higher than Riggs so IMO, in order for Riggs to get a title shot, he must defeat at the very least 1 more opponent after Diego.
If it were the karo vs Diego scenerio then yes the winner should have been awarded a title shot but not Riggs, he is just not ranked high enough and his most impressive win is coming over Diaz and a victory ove Diaz and Diego is not #1 contender worthy, Riggs will need to face either Hughes or Penn after Diego in order to secure a #1 title shot IMO.

I don't think diego deserves a title shot if he wins, diego should still have to beat either penn or hughes, i would like to see sanchez v.s penn.....

I defiantly don't think Riggs deserves a title shot if he were to beat Diego and if Diego wins I think it would be ridicules to ask him to fight Penn or Hughes to earn a shot at the title . If everyone at 170 has to go through Penn or Hughes to get a shot at GSP we're not going to see anyone other than Penn or Hughes getting title shots for a long while .

If Riggs won on paper it would be a big upset. So if that did happen at the very least he should have to defeat one more top contender to earn a title shot. Quote: |

Yes this is true. However, beating Diaz, Alessio, Karo, and Riggs in the same year I do think earns him a shot.
