Fujita. Fedor was obviously delirious there for a few seconds. And obviously Arona, for reasons already mentioned.
And despite what many say, Arlovski was having some success. He didn't rock Fedor, but he was winning the standup handily and was consistently beating him to the punch.

I thought Fedor was dead when Kevin suplex'd him,but then he just kept moving, proving that Fedor is a robot.
Some people said Rogers, not really. He was missing alot of those punches, and you could literally see Fedor was still coherent and working on something. Unlike the Fujita fight where it looked like he was on cloud9.

This is a thread to refer to when people ask if Fedor is a great HW. A thread devoted to who came the CLOSEST to beating him. Can this thread be created about anyone else?

I would have to disagree with the rogers comments as he was never rocked or anything, just put in a tough spot. That happens to everyone. AA was also similar, no real trouble, just making it tough. Although for the life of me I still can't figure out why they broke up the clinch in that fight in the first place where I think AA was about to be dumped on his butt anyway.
Fujita and Arona are pretty much going to be the consensus. Randleman was just unreal to see though.

Not much to say. It's already been said. Arona beat Fedor imo. Fujita had him on queer street.

arona - already been discussed
fujita - rocked him
randleman - he had to be rocked right???? i mean it looked nasty anyway. it might not be the closest but i have to believe that hurt like hell and it had to rattle him alittle bit right??
rogers - ehhhhhhh well he wasnt as close as arona or fujita. he put up a good fight but and gave fedor some trouble but he never really had him in trouble ie wasnt close to finishing him

I will add that I still think Fujita came the closest to actually finishing Fedor. Arona was a close fight, but I still give the win to Fedor and to be quite honest I think its foolish to try and justify ones belief Arona won by trying to say, 'If it took place under unified rules it would of been blah.' Guess what? It happened under the rules it happened under and that's that.
Oh and Rogers? Lawlz, its amazing that some folks want so badly to see Fedor lose that they will take even the slightest moment at him at a disadvantage as a chance to claim he was almost finished. So sad.

Fujita. I read an interview where Fedor said that he didn't know for sure if Fujita KOed him, because he's never been KOed to know what it's like, but when he hit him he blacked out and woke up on the ground. I know people are going to ask, so, I think I read it on here. I know it was a few years a go, but I'm pretty sure it was on here somewhere.

I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned the Mark Hunt fight. That kimura was locked in deep. If Hunt had ANY submission skills at all, that fight turns out differently.
