| Quote of the Day: Fedor Emelianenko Will Consider Offers From UFC After Two Strikefor Quote of the Day: Fedor Emelianenko Will Consider Offers From UFC After Two Strikeforce Fights - Bloody Elbow Quote:
I did not want to offend the UFC in any way. What I meant is, I don't like to watch fights in general. My main concern is what kind of culture I bring, myself.
...
It has always been for me that some fighters would appear and people would want to see me in matches against these fighters. That will always happen. As for the UFC, when my contract with Strikeforce is over - I have two fights left on my contract - the UFC will have the time and the opportunity to prepare and offer a contract that may be interesting to me.
| May we have spoke too soon? Only hope is left.

| HE means by this the UFC has time to be willing to co promote or this will NEVER happen

I dont believe that Fedor doesn't want to fight the best, and leave a legacy that he fought everyone that challenged him. I hope he fights AO next, then comes to the UFC. I wouldnt argue against an immediate title shot, but I would love to see him fight a dream fight, then for the title. Maybe against Mir, Lesnar, or Cain depending where everyone is in the division.

I'm not getting my hopes up either, BUT if it does happen I DON'T Think an immediate fight with Lesnar or Carwin is a good idea.
Start him with someone like Frank Mir or Junior Dos Santos.
If he whoops them in great fashion, then maybe we can hope for the Ultimate battle between Fedor & Brock!

Are we sure this one isn't a misquote, too? We seem to have gotten ahold of a couple of those lately from Fedor (either misquotes or out of context quotes). That being said, I hope THIS ONE is perfectly translated and taken in context.

Does anyone know when fedor's contract with M1 is up?.. last heard of is a 2 year 5 fight deal maybe after his next 2 Strikeforce fights both his contracts are up wich would make UFC possible.

If he whoops them in great fashion, then maybe we can hope for the Ultimate battle between Fedor & Brock! | An immediate title shot was already on the table in the previous round of negotiations, so there's no reason to think that, if Fedor beats Werdum, he won't be offered the same provision.
Again, again, and again, co-promotion is going to be the sticking point. M-1 wants it, the UFC isn't going to do it; not now, not fucking ever, and that's what's going to keep Fedor out of the UFC. Sorry, but them's the facts.

Sorry, but them's the facts. | This truly shows who is ducking who. It makes very good business sense, but the UFC/Zuffa is the only interested party (of Fedor ,UfC champ ??, Zuffa) that is unwilling to make the superfight happen. The UFC is the one that loses big time if their champ loses to an outside org. Fedor isn't any less interested in fighting the best than Brock is. It is just business savvy for the UFC to avoid such a fight. Yes he could sign with the UFC, but the UFC could just make the fight happen as well. As for signing with the UFC long term, everyone knows that they have the most restrictive clauses anywhere and he has no reason to need them.
Who knows, maybe Werdum will pull the upset of upsets, Carwin wins and all this nonsense will just disappear to be reoplaced by some more nonsense.
