Since I couldn't get in ALL DAMN NIGHT, just stopped by to say 116 was the best UFC PPV card in a long time. Excellent fights top to bottom.

I'm still shocked Lesnar took that much punishment and survived the round. The real question is would Rosenthal have stopped the fight if Lesnar was the one pummeling Carwin ?? In my personal opinion I would say yes he would have stopped it.
I want to agree with you slighty, although I think (this is probably a long shot) the ref might of been told ahead of time to stop it unless its completely brutal considering the mammoths that were fighting.
All in all, holy shit this card had amazing, fucking badass fights, and WOW never thought Id see the day Brock would win by sub.
I was actually in the opinion the fight was allowed to run until there was a definitive KO/Sub rather then a Ken Shamrock "wtf i wasn't ko'd" ending.
All in all I gotta say this card was amazing, the only downside was I couldn't access the forums while watching it, I wanted to see if Lesnar winning by sub beat the record 757 people after the world ended last week.

I don't think the fight should have been stopped. Carwin was winded and most of those punches either didn't land or had little effect. Brock was in trouble, I think Carwin should have just let him up and he probably would have the knock out.

What I saw during a lot of the beat down on Brock was another of him having huge arms, they provided a huge amount of coverage blocking a lot of the shots that he was taking and preventing Shane from getting clear shots on him.
I actually thought that was how the fight would go, although not quite as large a pummelling on Brock in the 1st and no submission for the win. So in reality I wasn't that close but I did think Shane would tire out, so at least I got something right. I thought it was great though and have to give props to the ref: I thought he was going to stop the fight a few times in the 1st but was happy he didn't.
I have a feeling that if Brock and Carwin fought again soon that Carwin would take it, I just think that Brock didn't have anything on the stand up, but by the time Carwin gets another shot Brock will have had another 2-3 fights and that will have given him more time to improve his striking. Of course Cain and JDS are both pretty solid strikers as well so Brock isn't going to have an easy time in his next fights.
Man i hope this site doesn't do that again i actually had to go to sherdog... SHERDOG FOR GODS SAKE!! But I personally loved this card it had great submissions and I loved that slam from Gerald Harris! Not a single bad fight! I'm thinking the EliteXC killer is gone though... which kinda saddens me as he looked pretty great!
First Sherdog sucks OMG. I did the same as a lot of folks. While I don't post much I am an avid reader of this forum.
I thought 116 was an awesome card. Lesnar showed that he is improving and that he can take a punch. What a beating by Carwin in the first - I wouldn`t wish that on my enemies.
I was pulling for Akiyama big time but kudos to Leben for a great victory.
good fights all round. Great to see my fellow Aussie George get up, he had a great fight and never stopped working. Hes an animal on the ground so entertaining to watch.
I was rooting for Leben all the way too. He put on a great fight and looked like he was out of out on more than one occasion. I think the decision was definately going Akiyamas way and to finish like that in the 3rd was awesome.
Was hoping Carwin could pull it off, i thought he had it after seeing the pummeling in the first but was hoping the ref wouldnt stop it, if he was going to win i wanted to see a big knockout. Props to brock for pulling it off, i think Carwin needs to work on that gas tank, he looked way too tired after the GnP
