Shane Carwin’s doctor thinks he may have bronchitis following tests conducted on him today. The UFC heavyweight contender made the revelation via his Twitter account.

“35 may be the new 90... My Dr thinks I have Bronchitis (life long non smoker). Look for the Carwin Mobility Chair in stores soon!” he wrote.

Bronchitis is inflammation of the mucous membranes of the bronchi, the airways that carry airflow from the windpipe (trachea) into the lungs. In mild forms it causing coughing and congestion. Cigarette smoking and the inhalation of irritants is the leading cause of bronchitis.

Carwin was in close contact with a massive irritant on Saturday night, namely Brock Lesnar’s arm encircling his neck and squeezing tightly as part of the fight-ending arm-triangle submission.

Carwin did not say whether his throat condition was a result of Saturday night's fight or whether it was a pre-existing condition that he carred into the bout.

Can't believe how many excuses he's throwing out there and how no one is calling him on it. I've read an interview where he stated he only trains an hour and half a day. Where is the cardio in that? What I saw from him in this fight is if you push him he will break.

Good thing Sakara is also Doctor Sakara and this doctor thinks Shane has a case of BullShit-itis which could also be confused with Pussy-onmia that derives from a sprained vaginal wall. Sounds like a Divison II doctor to me. Those Division I doctors think Carwin lost and Brock won. My collegues could be wrong though.

I am a Shane nuthugger, That said I hate excuses. He took the fight now he must take the loss. Shane will be back.

To be fair though, he did not say it affected the fight

People need to lay off Carwin. This is from his twitter, he has never said this is why I lost or he lost because he cramped up. If anyone read the thread I posted; that Carwin posted on the UG. He basically said Brock is a true champion with alot of heart and he had no problem with the ref's decision to not stop the fight in the first.

Carwin likes to interact with his fans,but now it's getting alot more attention because of his fight with Brock. Fight fans are so fickle when a fighter loses,it's really annoying.
