Taking hits and blocking them doesn't constatute a coward taping or running away does. Go back to Sherdog or UFC forms were you will fit in better

He did blow it, but cardio for carwin is as questionable as saying chuck liddel should keep fighting. With all do respect there no proof of shane carwins cardio ability because he's never had to show it right? all fights ended in the 1st round? So, no one can truly say he's got cardio. And, Brock is a freak of nature like i said but a lot to learn when he's already 33 years old, so only time will tell. lwbrewer, wow. That childish response belongs in diapers and getting spanked by your mother, learn MMA cause just cause someone has thousands of posts on some MMA forum doesn't make em a guru bro, its all opinions so don't get your thong in a bunch.

Brock will be KO'D | Dude I'm pretty sure the most blatently obvious thing we learned about the fight was that Brocks Chin is fine
I guess you also drew from the fight that Shane could compete in triathlons and Brock should join K-1?

I just really don't think the way Brock responded to those initial strikes can be put as a large negative to Brock's ability. No one likes getting punched in the face by Carwin.
I though this fight would be the final test to see how serious Lesnar was to his MMA career because win or lose he'd have to bounce back from something, because he was getting tested. He weathered a massive storm and came out in the 2nd round with the confidence to win. The guy still has a lot to learn and that article points to the greatest factor of all, Brock wants to learn more.
To say Lesanr shouldn't been allowed in MMA and is a joke is a seriously errored statement.

I actually think that Brock is showing some good signs when it comes to boxing. He keeps his hands in tight and high, chin stays down and when he throws out a jab he looks like he is trying to do it the right way. The problem is that he is still having to think about it. Unfortunately the only way to get better is for him to just keep at it and in time he will be more fluid with his punches and less robotic. I feel bad for anyone who tries to stand with him in 2-3 years (assuming he is still fighting by then). In the meantime he will rely on his strength, speed, agility and wrestling to hold on to the title.

Brock's chin appears no worse than anyone else who gets cracked by Carwin- just the opposite, in fact.
If I were a betting man, I would guess that while Brock's striking may marginally improve, he's too old a dog to learn to be good at that particular trick now.
IMO, there is a knack/skill/ability inherent in striking/strikers- punching in particular; some guys just know how to do it, and with superior coaching, become very dangerous when they throw 'em.
I don't think Brock projects as anything close to that.
I hope he proves me wrong.

I tend to lean this way as well. Everybody has a certain amount of skill 'points' to work with. Some have inherently more altogether, but there reaches a point where adding to one category will detract from the other as the muscle memory fades etc. Brock has certain natural talents of which being big and having fast reflexes are a couple. He has learned good wrestling and control skills, but imo focusing on striking is not taking the best advantage of his learned and inborn traits. You can only master so many things.
IMO he should keep up on his wrestling, focus on learning striking defense, and take advantage of his huge size, strength, and giant grip to master more subs. His strength is controlling people. Building up the submission instincts would be a far more effective use of his time. His potential doesn't lie in striking.
I am no Lesnar fan, but deep inside I think he is a decent guy. Having his ass beat was probably the most foreign and confusing thing he has ever felt. He needed it. Hopefully he continues to become a more respectful champion for the UFC. I'll still be rooting for Cain though.
