if jds wins he can have the title shot but other than cain and jds, no one should supersede carwin's rematch with brock, the man gased not because he has bad cardio but because he was trying to end a fight with flurries when he should have sat on brock and thrown less than ten hammerfists, instead he threw over forty punches, other than that he went undefeated and gave brock what no one else could, roy nelson even if he beats jds would still not deserve the title fight yet, shane will get one more crack at the title and soon and if he loses again he will retire but im betting on him getting another title shot before 2011 is over unless someone else beats him and cain is the only one with a chance, plus he didnt get knocked out its was a submission, so no big deal he is very healthy for 35

All this talk of Shane gassing is wild. Carwin trained and trained hard for this. When you have that kind of muscle mass the oxygen needed to feed those muscles is extreme. Find me any 265 pound heavyweight that can throw upwards of 60 power punches in one round and not finish the fight and not gas.

Do you mean the talk about him not training hard is wild? He did gas, for precisely the reason you stated, so there's no reason people shouldn't state that as a fact.

I know this is a wild idea and will never happen. I would love the UFC to bring in Josh Barnett and have him fight Carwin. Josh is probly the 3rd best HW in the world and would add fuel to the fire of the HW division. The only problem is that Josh has burnt so many bridges that I dont know if we will ever see him in another meaningfull fight.

I really like Carwin's mentality and I'm glad to see that he's not taking the loss too hard and instead is using it as fuel to train harder. Always good to see a fighter bounce back mentally.

As for the line-up. Carwin should either face the loser of Lesnar/Cain or the winner of JDS/Roy. Too be completely honest I don't really care. I want to see the best possible match-ups with the least amount of shelf time for these fighters. If he fights the loser of Lesnar/Cain there will probably be less of a waiting period, and in the meantime the winner of JDS/Roy could be fighting for the title. Either way you match up these 5 fighters is going to be freakin insane.

I want to see Carwin in 2 more solid knock out wins and then get the champ. And if it's not Brock that's champ, then he fights Brock after that fight. And yes he gassed, but the reality of it is, is that he gassed because he thought there would be a stoppage and who wouldn't throw all your eggs in that basket against Lesnar.

I think Nelson has a better chance at winning this then a lot of people think. I just don't understand all the hate for the guy. So what if he's fat? It's bigotry against fat people and I'm tired of the mods just looking the other way on this issue.
