Me and a buddy were trying to figure out when the next Strikeforce shows were coming out and hadn't heard a thing about it. Even looking this afternoon on the major MMA sites...I saw no updates in the past couple weeks on anything to do with Strikeforce except for the potential tournament.
Well, I did some more searching after watching MMA Connected last night and learned about the potential fights with Lawal vs Feijao (Anderson's training partner) and Kennedy vs Jacre.
Strikeforce To Hold Press Conference In Houston Today - FightLine.com Quote:
By Tim Ngo | July 13, 2010
Scott Coker and company will be heading out of town as they invade the "Lone-Star State" to promote "Strikeforce: Houston." Coker will be joined by Bobby Lashley, Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, Tim Kennedy and KJ Noons.
Today's press conference will go down from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas which is the home of the Houston Rockets of the NBA.
"Strikeforce: Houston" will take place on August 21st and will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout with newly-minted champ "King Mo" defending his belt for the first time against Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante.
In addition to the 205-pound championship, a new middleweight king will be determined when Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza takes on Tim Kennedy for Jake Shields' now vacant 185-pound belt.
It was believed that Strikeforce would hold an eight-man tournament to crown a new champion following Shields' pending defection to the UFC.
Former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley will also be in action in his second bout under the Strikeforce banner against a opponent yet to be determined while KJ Noons will return to the cage following his successful return to the cage at "Strikeforce: Los Angeles" last month.

They also already have an event slated for Friday July 23rd that I hadn't heard much about. Hopefully they add one more fight to the main card...doubt the Kaufman fight will go the distance, same with Mike Kyle if he asserts himself. Kyle looked like shit against Tony Lopez in his last fight....but Kryptonite seems to have that affect on a bunch of fighters. I hope that was just an anomaly, because Mike Kyle has the skills.
