Default Kimbo vs Pudzianowski, Sylvia vs Hong Man Choi rumored for Moosin Chicago

Quote:
Moosin executive Corey Fischer has confirmed the organization's intention for a second show, and said the current plans include bringing back previous headliners Tim Sylvia and Mariusz Pudzianowski, in separate fights.

If Moosin gets their way, they'll come to the Second City with Sylvia fighting 7-foot-2 Korean Hong Man Choi, and five-time "World's Strongest Man" Pudzianowski taking on popular former EliteXC and UFC star Kimbo Slice in feature bouts.

"I would say the Kimbo-Pudzian fight is the furthest from being finished, but we're trying to work on it and make it happen," Fischer said.

I have to say that this is nearly perfect freak show MMA fight booking. Kimbo Slice and Pudzianowski both draw eyeballs and media attention in a way that more legitimate fighters don't.

Fischer is also shrewdly thinking about the demographics. Chicago is a huge market for Polish immigrants, Moosin's home base. And bringing in Hong Man Choi will draw South Korean eyeballs -- Moosin's other home.

The first Moosin card was truly entertaining and I will be rooting for them to pull this off.

A few years ago, Kimbo Slice would have already fought in Japan, but clearly the crippled MMA scene there can't afford to make him an offer he can't refuse. We'll see if Moosin can.

And from a sporting perspective, Kimbo vs Pudz is a good fight as well. Neither man is a world beater, or even very good, but both have "strengths" (get it?) they bring to the cage.

Sylvia vs HMC is also more compelling than some of the other bouts featuring the Korean giant if only because Sylvia's striking-based style plays to HMC's K-1 strengths.

Time will tell if Fischer is just blowing smoke or if he'll be able to sign these fights.
Please God, let these fights happen. Or some combination of those four.

Ya know, Kimbo/Pudzilla would be kinda cool to see.

I'd prefer Sylvia/Rizzo at this moment, but chances are this'll be a fun card.

I don't understand Sylvia. Why post-Fedor has he not tried to re-establish himself as a top HW? It is an interesting fight but it does nothing for Sylvia's mma career which is in need of saving...

Freakshow or not I'm going to watch. Sylvia vs. Hong Man Giant would be fun to watch. I'd have to take Timmay over the big boy and Kimbo over Pudzilla. As little skill as Kimbo has, I'd be willing to guarantee he's got more than Pudzy.

Sylvia needs to get his shit together and get back his weight back down to 265. Unless if he's conceded that he'll never be a top tier HW again and would rather just take easy freak fights for big money where he doesn't have to worry about cutting weight.

I think Tim is being smart. These arent dangerous fights, but they are getting him what he needs. Confidence, and time in the cage. He needs to keep knocking down these wins and come back better then ever. Tim is a dangerous HW, I think he could beat alot of the HW's in the UFC right now,Brock included.
