But I digress......many fans just aren't listening to Fedor himself. For Fedor these things are important:

1.National Pride
2. M-1 Global as a viable MMA brand
3. Helping up in coming young Russian fighters.
4. Respect and Honor

The UFC represents a PURELY American brand. Hell it couldn't get more RED, WHITE, AND BLUE...well maybe if Dana would put some ring card girls on there with cubs larger than B's but....anyway. For Fedor M-1 represents Russia, I really believe he has a very personal investment in the company's success. That being said he doesn't like it when someone (Dana) shits on the M-1 brand. He also wants to see some young Russian talent in the UFC. And his final motivation for fighting, Respect and Honor. You really think he wanted to fight Han Man Choi in Japan? No, but he had so much respect for the Japanese fans and the promotion, that he agreed to the fight. Dana could take some lessons from how the Japanese organizations treat Fedor. Hell I bet they could get him to fight Bob Sapp this year. Dana needs to put someone in charge of the negotiations that doesn't think like him. He's TOO American to ever get anywhere with Fedor. He thinks money is REALLY the main issue, Fedor has the entire Russian government backrolling him. I really believe that Dana's personality is probably the tipping point on whether Fedor signs with the UFC or not.

Fedor will have to work hard, and consistently win (against relevant people) in order to win over the casual fans and get the fence guys (like me) on the Fedor bandwgon. IMO he has not been the best fighter in the world in about 5 years, I agree with almost everything that Dana has ever said about Fedor.

Dana should sign him to a piddly 3 fight contract (he said 20k to show 20k to fight, but he was venting). Teach these dumbasses not to fuck with the man who runs the MMA world, send them into mom and pop independent circut shows, or pay them nothing.

These dumbasses (not Fedor) have jerked Dana, the UFC, and most importantly us fans around long enough, now Dana has the upper hand and he should capitalize, dont pay what he originally promised, that was ridiculous. Give Fedor Shane Carwin for his first fight, teach them what top level competitors feel like, and how a legitimate successful MMA promotion is ran.

I will never understand how a "true" MMA fan can say that they do not want to see Fedor in the UFC, that is mind boggling. With Fedor in the UFC the age old debate of "is Fedor the best?" will finally be solved, and Fedor fanboys fear this I believe.

I think what you meant and the other guy who posted about Fedor not being a cash cow anymore is that, Fedor was glorified as the person who could not be defeated, He was painted as the Monalissa, but now the Monalissa has a big ass cut from top to bottom, you think the value will stay the same after it has been tarnished? Hell no, that's called being Genuine and Fedor isnt Genuine anymore, He lost and even though his record is beyond badass, and he himself is still a badass, He still lost and unfortunately in the world of business, once the product fails, we look for a different one that wont.

ive said it before and ill say it again, its only a matter of time before Fedor gets in the UFC, in what negotiations? no clue, but only a matter of time.

I like to think of Fedor as Achilles, They both died/lost a very shitty way but their name will never be forgotten in the books of history (Fedor in the books of MMA of course), but at the end of the day the only thing left is only a name.

fedor makes less per fight than brock. why couldnt he just promote his own shit the way brock does and ask for more money to fight? that probably isnt even a possibility now because danas less interested in him after he lost.

I still don't understand how any "true" MMA fan hasn't figured out by now that we will never see Fedor in the UFC. Do you really think there is a post M1 future for Fedor? Professor Xavier is more likely to leave the XMen than Fedor is to leave M1. The UFC won't be rolling out the big fat payday for Fedor anymore because of his loss to Werdum. That loss damaged his marketability to casual fans. Remember, we don't matter in terms of buyrates, etc. We are not the majority. People who don't follow MMA closely are what makes a company rich.

Just think of what a brand new MMA fan has seen of Fedor. He won a decent match vs. some big guy they had never heard of and then he got submitted early against some not-so-big guy they had never heard of. In the same time span, that fan would've seen super hyped fights with UFC made sure they had heard of. Fair? No. Reality? Yes.

Do I want to see Fedor in the UFC? Yes. Do I want to win the 50 Million Dollar jackpot this friday? Yes. Do I think both will happen? No. Should we all move on from these threads? Yes. Will we? Sadly, no.

To say Fedor wants this or that I disagree with, I believe Fedor has simple demands [ Sambo, honnor, and not be totally owned] We know M1 has a lot of people living off of Fedor shirt tail their the one that want all the money to support themselves. The real question is CBS is the one with the money do they still want Fedor and how bad that with determin what Coker does to keep him.

M1/Fedor are drama queens. M1/UFC co-brand is not going to happen, There would be no M1 news posted if it didnt involve the UFC. Its the only attention they can get.
