everyone thinks the pay isnt much, it isnt, but this isnt boxing , every mma place pays there fighters about the same, i dont see why everyone bashes ufc, i dont see people bashing pride, you say there number 1 yet they dont pay that great either, the ufc pays there top stars the best money , they pay the up and commers ok money for a few minutes of work, its extra money in there poket, and going to monson why pay him a shit load of money when he cant draw a crowd, its just getting old bashing ufc when every mma pays about the same if anythign ufc pays the top guys more money then any other mma, and if someone says dana takes care of them then he wouldnt lie,

Rampage was paid $200,000 for his WFA fight plus PPV buys so I don't buy into the $100,000 for Fedor for the real deal, that is just what the public sees.

If Fedor is in fact only making $100k per fihgt his PPV percentage and gate percentage must be much higher than Chuck's or again like I said, he would've gone to WFA, IFL, K-1, or UFC if that was the case.
These are the type of comments that i do not understand. It was reported that Fedor made 100k just like it gets reported what the UFC is paying their fighters.

Everyone claims that pride is just covering up the numbers and that the figures are not legit ... while all the numbers reported on the UFC must be every penny they are making and without a doubt legit numbers.

I am not saying UFC or Pride pays any better than the other or even that the UFC is paying their fighters enough. It just gets old when everyone gets pissed over the UFC numbers and when Pride's numbers are revealed to be just as low everyone assumes and believes that Pride is just covering them up and they must be incorrect

Just as low? What are you talking about? In my world, $250,000 is $150,000 more than $100,000...

I am not sure what you don't understand, Quinton Jackson, a top 5 LHW at the time made $200,000 plus PPV and gate sales and stated that "he could retire off of that 1 fight alone" so how do you not understand that Fedor the #1 ranked HW in the wrold, the #1 ranked p4p fighter in the world and the best fighter in MMA history getting paid $100,000 for a fight is not accurate.

I don't know how to make it any clearer than that, sorry.

If his base pay was $100,000 then his PPV percentage was a 900% base salary increase (or something along those lines as Rampage reportedly and stated himself he could retire off of the 1 fight alone so one would assume, his pay was nearing the $1 million mark as it would be nearly impossible retire at age 28 for anything less than a mil).

It's not a UFC vs Pride thing, it's facts that Rampage, a WFA fighter (at the time) was paid double the base pay of the best fighter in the history of the sport plus a mssive amount of PPV and gate sales which is certainty that Fedor
s $100,000 base pay was nowhere near what his PPV and gale sale percentage was.

just off there us ppv paying fedor a million would be alot seeing the ppv didnt do that great, im not saying he hasnt made a million in a fight before but the us fight they would have to be paying out of there pocket, but ufc pays there top guys more then pride , because if chuck gets 250,000 a fight plus other shit hes making just as much as fedor and tito gets 200 so ufc pays there top guys more, pride pays the less fighters a little more somtimes pride pays better sometimes ufc pays more on average its about the same

yes that tends to happen when you are entering a new realm. The US market is totally new to Pride so they are prepared to take huge hits in order to make money in the long run. Same thing the UFC had to do, same thing with the IFL and the same with the most recent WFA event, they all lost lots of money.

The Pride real deal event reportedy cost Pride $30 million to put on as their production is world class, the UFC probably pays around $10 million to put in a PPV. With Pride they had to fly out all of thier staff, fighters, trainers, renting equipment, etc and those residing in Japan, round trip tickets are around $4,000 each compared to the UFC flying out peopel from a few states away which costs around $300-$400. In addition I'm sure it takes 10 times longer to setup a Pride event than a UFC event becasue Pride has a lot of flashy features via the massive screens, the indoor pyro, the ice effect, the elevators, etc. Just a great deal more time, effort and money goes into a Pride show, I really enjoy the production value and fighter value of their organization and would liek to see the UFC follow suit.
