Race doesnt factor in my PPV buys but I think race naturally does play a role for some people who can identify themselves better with fighters of certain nationality or race. If there was an awesome Korean fighter, he would probably be one my favorite fighters but there isnt one. They all suck pretty much and they embarass the hell out of me. Kang is half korean and I love his fighting so I like him a lot. In any case, I like fighters for their ability because in the end, they need to entertain me with their ability. People are here to watch fights so as long as there are good fights, people will buy accordingly I think.

To kinda play off of the last comment made by metalhead...Whites (or should I say caucasian? Whats more politically correct? ) dont realize it (i am not saying they dont undertand it or arent aware of it because they obviously know) because they never suffered racism. Once it affects you, that's when you begin to notice certain things and begin to question it. For example, my friends and I went up to Carolinas over the weekend when I noticed a cop going on the opposite direction. We briefly made eye contact (sort of) and I just kept going. After driving for about another 5 minutes, I noticed a cop with its lights flashing behind me. I moved over so he can drive by me, only to find out he was after me. To make story short, he claimed that I was going 88 when I had my crusie control at 75. He also said that I must appear at their city court that is about 150 miles away from where I live. This stuff just kinda makes you wonder. How did he clock me going in the opposite direction and why did he even come after me going in the opposite direction? And why did he refuse to show me the speed he clocked me at? Anyway, I am fine with what happened because I was speeding anyways. Only thing I dont like is that its gonna cost me sending someone on my behalf. However, imagine suffering injustice frequently and you are helpless. It can eventually lead to anger and social disobedience. I am not saying that is the right course of action but just saying how it could happen. What the hell am I saying in this forum? nm. Blah~~~

I favor Rampage because I fight the same style as him, also I can relate with him personally. Although, I pretty much like who I like just because they are ass kickers, bottom line. CroCop, Fedor,Wand, Shogun, Tito, etc.

Race and/or ethnicity DO play a role for me. They do so as follows: if I sense that a fighter is playing up either, I will turn on him instantly. For example - I actually liked Frank Mir until I heard him give an interview where he was alleging that having a "Russian" Champ (Arlovski) was an embarassment or somehow not good for the company. The embarassment is that anyone would think along these lines. Now I know I'll probably catch some heat for acknowledging an affinity for pro-wrestling - but that's what they call going for a "cheap pop". Guys who wear or bring flags to the ring/octagon are lame - especially if they're carrying the flag of the country that they're actually in at that moment. If all you can come up with to sell yourself on is "I'm from _______" or "I'm (insert race here)", then you've got some issues to work out. Also, making fun of someone or inviting others to dislike them because of where they're from is SUPER lame.
