Default Possible MW division for UFC

With the acquisition of the WFA contracts the UFC's middleweight division has the potential to be just completely stacked. The possible matchups are amazing and the talent will be sooo deep. This, of course, depends on all the fighters choosing to fight for the UFC and Zuffa giving them the oppurtunity to fight. But if they all come to fight the middle weight division for UFC could rival Pride's HW in depth. Silva, Franklin, Swick, Marquadt, along with improving fighters such as Leben and Lister...then add Lindland, Salaverry and Mayhem. I just really hope all of the fighters get the chance to fight.

i'm pretty sure mayhem isn't there anymore either. he's been fighting in ICON and he wasn't scheduled for the canceled WFA show, so i don't think he's under contract to WFA. and im not sure, but i thought i heard salaverry just signed somewhere else, but i dunno if it was exclusive. but i'm almost positive lindland was a 1 fight deal, so even though it would be awesome to see any of those 3 back in the UFC, i dont think it'll happen with the WFA deal.

Lindland originally signed for a couple of fights with WFA, but they had to be given to him within a year of signing the contract. Lindland originally signed with WFA back in November 2005. He was negotiating to fight Tito before Tito ended up resigning with UFC. WFA didn't happen until July because they had to wait until Rampage became available from Pride so that he could take the role of star of the promotion that was originally intended for Tito.

I think you mean WFA. Lindland was never under contract with WEC.

I don't know if Lindland's involvement with the IFL would keep him out of UFC or not.

I'm pretty sure Salaverry wants nothing to do with the UFC, and I don't think Lindland is on the best terms with them either. Mayhem has been busy with the ICON productions but hopefully in the future all three will make a return to the octagon.
