I hope this isn't true ,if it is though ,it's pretty fucked up.

A toe injury? He should just pop the thing back into place and go on with the fight.

You are speaking of marketability, that is not the point man. The point is people jumping ship like the plague when in actuality, the card AS IT STANDS, is still better than UFC 66 and has not even been halfway annouced.

Shogun vs Nakamura is the equivelent of Chuck vs Ortiz (I'm not speaking in terms of PPV draw because I could give a poop about that as I see none of that money so obviously it does not matter, I care about the ACTUAL FIGHTS).

Gomi vs Ishida would be the UFC co-main and is a better co main than AA vs Cruz and Griffin vs Jardine combined.

Kawijiri vs Melendez, again co main in UFC, kaw ranked in the top 5 and Melendez ranked in the top 10.

Hansen vs Aoki - phenomenal matchup, hansen is a world class striker and Aoki is one of the best grapplers in the world, flying arm bars, etc. he is a magician on the ground.

Those 4 fights alone trump the entire UFC 66 card because they are all top 10 fighters in their respective weight class in WORLD RANKINGS which includes the UFC including 2 #1's being Gomi and Shogun (arguably) and kawijiri and Ishida being ranked #2 on some sites and #4 on others and Ishida being ranked #3, Hansen being ranked #4-5.

They will replace Fedor if he is unable to go and will likely be replacing him with Aleks, Kharitonov, Hunt, or Big Nog.

The card is going to dominate UFC 66, I really have no desire about the PPV draws, I don't watch the org that sells more, I watch the org that puts on better fights and stacks cards with top ranked fighters.

UFC is making aquisitions right now which is great, this should tell you something, they are obviously aware of their lack of top ranked roster depth and are lookg to do somethign about it, however UFC 66, they won't have those newly aquired fighters and I would never order a PPV based on popularity of an organization, that would just be ignorant.

If Cro Cop and Fedor do not fight on the card, they should and likely will replace Fedor with Big Nog as he has one of the biggest fan gatherings in Pride, Japan.

For me, it sucks becasue we had to go an entire year without the greatness of Fedor and right when we get him back, he gets injured.

The Cro Cop vs the K-1 7' Man Choi (or whatever his name is), it was goign to be more of an exibition match anyway because from what I have seen on youtube, the guy has good knees because he's 7' tall but as far as him being technical or anything, naw, he's sloppy and Cro Cop would've just been qucik on his feet as usual to avoid the guy rushing him and just stayed back and picked him apart with leg kicks, and we can see that on K-1so no big deal for me.

I really like the Gomi vs Ishida matchup, that has fight of the year nominee written all over it.

Hansen vs Aoki should be great as well, if Aoki gets the fight to the gound, it's over.

Shogun vs Nak should be a war as well, both of those guys empty their tanks each fight, nothing is held back and I enjoy watching those type of fighters who will just go all out each and every fight.

When it's all said and done, the card is still goign to look phenomenal and it will be one of the best shows this year.

I am thinking Big Nog becasue other than Fedor and Cro Cop he is by far the most popular HW in Japan (I think Barnett is getting a huge gathering as well) and he is certainly one of the best HW's in the world.

If it is not Big Nog, I think it will be either Aleks, Kharitonov or Werdum and Werdum would be the last choice, not because of skill but becasue he will taek the fight to the ground and put on a JJ clinic and Pride I think would rather have someone who will stand for at least a little while and all of the other names have great striking.

Can we all say, the end of Pride, just as they were coming to the US?

UFC is going stronger than ever, and Pride appears to be falling a part.
