| Brazil/Blackhouse dominance...
So watching last night's telecast, it came to me that both of the titles last night were won by Blackhouse fighters. This made me think a little bit about who from Blackhouse is dominating in what divisions. I also took a gander at some of their up and comers.
If you look at the UFC, Blackhouse has had the middleweight crown on lockdown for ages, and had the light heavyweight title until Shogun beat Machida, but in pointing that out you'll see Shogun is also Brazilian. Strikeforce now has two Blackhouse champions in Souza and Feijao.
Junior Dos Santos is waiting in the wings for his chance to be yet another Blackhouse title holder when he gets his shot at the winner of Brock/Cain. Little Nog is plowing his way through the light heavyweight division, and is definatly has a capable chance at stealing the light heavyweight crown when Shogun returns. Big Nog has already held the Pride title and the UFC interm title, and is still a dangerous threat to the UFC heavyweight champions.
Paulo Filho, although bleeding mad, has shown dominance at one time and was the questionably last title holder for the WEC middleweight championship, even though he lost to Sonnen it was a wierd situation. But he seems to be returning to form and we could possibly see a run from him as well.
Jose Aldo also trains part time out of Black House as well and doesn't really need any explanation lol...
Up and comer Mark Munoz trains out of black house as well. He's shown some potential since Matt Hamill and his own knee knocked him out in the same fight. Not sure if he will really be a champion, but he'll give a lot of guys in the light heavyweight division fits.
----------------------------------------------------------
Notable fighters from Blackhouse's current listed roster:
-Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira (Former Pride FC heavyweight champion and former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion)
-Antônio Rogério Nogueira
-Anderson Silva (Current UFC Middleweight Champion)
-Lyoto Machida (Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion)
-Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (Current Strikeforce Lightheavy Weight Champion)
-Ronaldo Souza (Current Strikeforce Middleweight Champion)
-Paulo Filho (Former WEC Middleweight Champion)
-Junior dos Santos
-Andre Galvao
-Mark Muñoz
-Thales Leites
-Wagnney Fabiano
-Pedro Rizzo
-Fabricio Camoes
-Chase Gormley
-Diego Nunes
----------------------------------------------------------
Chute Boxe is also out of Brazil and has seen their run of gold belts, but this article is getting long so I'll just save that for another time, but it still shows that Brazil is seemingly ahead of the game as of late.
It's pretty crazy that this many champions / former champions / possible champions train in one place. I thought about turning this subject into a weekly thing like analyzing camps or something. Just something to do and talk about I guess. Maybe I'll do Greg Jackson's camp next.
Anyone have any thoughts? Why do you think other camps are having a hard time emulating the training that the Brazilians have? Or if it's not the training, what is it that makes them so... freakin sweet?

I didnt know Rizzo and Thales trained at Black House.
And Aldo trains there part time. He trains at Nova Uniao also.
Wagnney is really good. I want to see him fight Cruz. Would be an awesome fight!
Thiago Alves and Thiago Silva should make the move from ATT to Blackhouse. They would learn so much about wrestling and BJJ from the Nogs and Munoz.

I would say they are the best at the moment, but not that much better then AKA, Greg Jackson and American Top Team. Honestly they really arent that much better then AKA. They have one real legit champion (Anderson Silva) and thats it. By the end the year AKA could have two champions (Kos and Cain) so by the end of the year AKA could be the best camp.
Anyways this changes all the time. MFS was hands down the best camp just a few years ago and now they aren't even mentioned anymore. Quote: |

| Yes like how to be taken down at will for 5 rounds? Or to land one single takedown on 17 attempts. If they want to learn wrestling go to Team Quest or Xtreme Couture. Munoz is not that good of trainer when it comes to wrestling. Really just look at the tapes of the Silva's, Lil Nog's and his own last fight.

Let me know when they the have a well rounded fighter and come back and make that statement. Camp Jackson all the way.

I know you guys are pretty much responding to the "them being the most superior camp" quote, but that's no need to tear them down, they are a good camp that produces amazing fighters.
It just seems like you guys are picking and choosing. Did some of their guys get their asses handed to them? Of course. Did some of their guys not dominate? Yea, but did some of them win? Yes. Just because you weren't "impressed" with their performance dosent take away from the fact that a win is a win.
No fighter, I repeat, No fighter, regardless of camp is going to look like a worldbeater in every single fight...and if they are...more than likely they aren't facing top competition.
I'm sure you could run down a list of all the fighters from top camps and come to a similair conclusion.
