I donno about great striking, but he puts all his power into his punches....turns hips....gets a ton of torque and walks into his punches too.

I was just watching Jérôme Le Banner vs Mark Hunt yesterday in K-1 at a friends house. He loves stepping into punches and closing the distance very quickly. But that is why I think it might be a problem for him yet again in MMA. I suggest watching some of his K-1 fights if you want to see the best of Mark.

He walks in and closes the distance then as soon as he gets to close, taken down, and can't get up, armbarred or kimuraed.

If his opponent wants to stand and strike, he has a great chance of winning. I prefer his K-1 fights to his MMA fights.

I really hope he does great and gets a 4 fight contract out of this, and it's nice to see it looks like he is putting up his best effort, but I wouldn't put money on him. I am sure Jeff Monson is getting him ready and helping him work on his suspect ground game and takedown defense.

He looks in good shape but that does not mean anything.
He has lost his last 5 bouts (to very good opponents though) and his ground game is awful.
He is a good striker and has a very solid chin so hpefully he can do some KOs.

Anyway even if he loses and gets cut and then retires at least he should be proud because he can say that he was a K1 champ and defeated Wandy and Mirko, and lasted 8 minutes with Fedor. (very few people can say that)

He's going to get taken down and smashed against the fence for the whole fight. Sean's too big, strong, and controlling for Hunt to keep him off of him.

this is a guy who essentially walked into the world class kickboxing circuit on nothing more than being a tough motherfucker, and his chin was such that he could take everything from a CC LHK to a baseball bat to the face and just shrug it off. a trained and in-shape hunt is a dangerous, dangerous man.

if this run turns out to be nothing, then so be it. but as a fan, i'm more than willing to give the guy a try.
