Okay, so Sonnen impressed us all in a number of ways against Silva:
1. His trash-talking is second to none, he pretty much has no limits and knows how to hype a fight
2. His takedowns are hard to stop
3. He's relentless and a relatively successful grinder

However, Sonnen still has a LOT of holes in his game. His stand-up isn't amazing (okay, so he caught Silva, but Anderson did not look himself in his striking) and he has a serious lack of finishing power, and doesnt appear to have the killer instinct or intention of trying to finish fights.
Because of these holes, he should wind his neck in and stop calling out guys that could quite easily take - and hold - him down, and finish him.

I guess Chael didn't see his fight with Franklin where Franklin was whopping Wandy's ass, smoked him with a good head kick that knocked Wandy down, and Wandy came back and rocked Franklin and had him running for his life at the end...or the Bisping fight where Wandy charged Bisping in the final 10 seconds...Yes he may not fight at as quick of a pace but the dude is in his mid-late thirties now and has had a lot of wars, hes just got to rely on his wit and experience a little more now.

Call him a douchbag all you want. He's not serious. Can't you see through his words. He is educated and intelligent. He is basically a polititian with balls. He is playing the field of fighters perfectly. He is stirring the pot. listen to one of his interviews and you'll see. very knowledgable......arrogant but knowledgable. I like him.
