He may have trouble, but he's smart. LHW is where he's the strongest at. If he can't dominate the LHW division, what the hell is he going to do in the HW division? Beat CroCop or Fedor?

Laugh all ya want Forrest vs Overeem would go like Chuck vs Overeem except Forrest probaby couldn't finish Overeem, unless of course Overeem KO'd him which can definitely happen.

I'd have to disagree like some others on this. Forrest has not faced a striker like Overeem and the sloppy boxing that Forrest has will only bring him trouble against Overeem. Forrest also has not had his chin truly tested, I dont say its glass because he does take a lot of blows but his chin has yet to be truly tested. Forrest shows a lot of heart and just likes to bang. He makes for an entertaining fight but if he wants to one day go for a title shot he needs to sharpen up on a number of things first. He did well against Tito because Tito doesnt stand with opponents much and Forrest was doing good on sprawling. Thats really all you need to do with Tito to beat him is stuff his takedowns and land blows to his big head. Unfortunately Forrest didnt stop all of Tito's takedowns and the judges gave more points for that as well as because he's "Tito Ortiz" in my opinion.

Based on Overeem-Chuck, Overeem was the better striker. Chuck couldnt stand with the guy.

He has such long limbs he is a tough matchup for anyone. I see Overeem's knees crashing into Forrest's face, ala A. Silva vs. Franklin, but Forrest won't give up. His face would be a swollen, bloody mess but he would make it to a decision. He is badass like that.

I think I know how Pride gets so much talent. They sign fighters with little brothers than swallow them up to when they are of age. Think about it, the Nogs, Shogun and Ninja, the Overeems, Fedor and Aleks (soon to be Ivan). They are like a big family tree in Pride. UFC needs to pick up some brothers.

all the pairs of brothers they have have worked out well. but it does pose the issue of some good matches not being unable to get made due to their family ties.


anyway i would like to see overeem come and fight in the states. i think that he would be a good name for either xc elite or the wec.
