In all honesty if he wins I guarnatee you it will be by boring UD.

Bader has power standing and in GnP, I dont think it will boring at all!!!

You can't honestly believe Jardine, Schafer, Marrero, and Magalhaes are actually better competition than Vladdy, Vera, Hamill, and Bonnar......

Not to mention Jonny handled them all pretty easily. There's no doubt that Jones has had the stiffer competition of the two, no fault of Bader's. He's defeated whoever they've put in front of him. This weekend, should Bader win, will most certainly close that gap.

Im ok with them fighting, but I was hoping for a test for one of the two against maybe Thiago Silva or someone like that.

I just don't see the sense in taking your obvious top 2 prospects and matching them this early in their careers. I'd think there'd be money in Bader/Rampage or Bader/Forrest and Jones/Rashad or Jones/machida in the near future. Factor in Thiago Silva, Rich, and Randy and there has to be a lot more intiguing matches out there for these 2.

I agree there is money in some other matchups, but I dont mind this fight. Rashad is waiting on Shogun, Lyoto v Page is set, Rich is still recovering from the arm...

Jones v Bader is a great co mainevent and get both guys names out there more.

At this point in thier careers a loss to the other one is very recoverable and in the long run will not hurt thier careers IMO. Both have the potential to become top level/run the LHW division in the future.

all this depends on Sat, Bader still has to beat Lil Nog. I think he will but a walk over Lil Nog is not!!!

IF bader beats lil nog on sat, i suppose that puts him up in the ranks.....but i still do not really see it as a step up fight for jones. he is about as green as jones imo. i think jones walks all over him as well.

I think alot of people are sleeping on Lil' Nog due to the Brilz fight. If MMA math has taught us anything it's NOT TO USE MMA MATH

i agree man. he didnt look good vs brilz, but may have just had an off night or bad camp. lil nog has the hands to put bader to sleep. if he is able to stuff the takedowns, i believe he takes this fight. i am hoping

See I agree with you in a sense, but this is a different situation. Styles make match ups for alot of fighters. In this fight we have Nog taking on Bader who is a bigger, stronger, faster Brilz. We were able to see in the Brilz fight how a wrestler can neutralize Nog's Jits by simply closing the gaps (or LnP) and wearing him out. So overall, if some guy I have never heard of can come in with a wrestling base and almost squeek out a win against lil Nog (who alot of people consider a top 5 in the lhw division), then I have to favor Bader. It's one of the few times MMA math makes sense. Not saying its guaranteed by any means, but I'd put my money on Bader at this point if i were a betting man (which I am).

At the same time, the loser doesn't fall that far, and if you really do beleive both will become future stars, then it could just mean a rematch for the title, or something along those lines.
