Yea, I'm not thanking Anderson Silva for doing his job. Good job getting owned for 4 and a half rounds and then ruining my parlay Anderson! You asshat.

Dana already stated that he has no plans to fire Sonnen. More specifically he mentioned not wanting, or needing, to punish a person further for failing a drug test. Because they are already going to be fined a bunch of $ by the government, as well as not being able to "make a living" while they are suspended.
Even if Sonnen did win that fight, it wouldn't change a whole lot in the current middle weight division. Silva would still be facing Belfort for the title. The UFC would have either given Silva the title right back (if/when Sonnen fails his appeal), or they'd have the fight for the vacated middle weight title (possibly even an interim title if the appeal hasn't gone through by the time of the fight).
If anyone should thank Silva, it's Sonnen. Had Silva not made him tap out, Sonnen would be the champ. Then with the failed test, there would be media attention on it, and the UFC would fire him as a publicity move.

I'm not going to neg you...but once again: when you hear hoofbeats in the distance, don't automatically assume it's a zebra. It's probably just a horse.

rh | Except that one time where it was a Zebra.
If anything, this is a slow start to making up for that horrible performance in Duhbi. And DW still owes us for that one. Like Anderson hasnt put on a good performance in awhile now, wondering if the spider has lost a few legs.

my 2 cents, neg me if you wish, its only my opinion
I think Anderson knew in round 1 he was going to get taken down at Sonnen's will, accepted it and let the round play out, he dropped his hands, let Chael think he was rocked so he would gas, that didn't work so he adapted his plan to make it look like he was going to lose, only to pull it out the bag in the last round
I remember he said something in Dana's ear before his hand was raised, it looked to me like "Was that an ok performance" - i may have just been drunk and haven't watched the fight again
I think Silva could have beaten him at any time, in any round, i think his gameplan was to make it look like he was getting smashed and look like he pulled off a lucky win
The reason i think this is people weren't watching Anderson fight, it was almost as if you knew he would win, why bother buying the PPV to see Anderson win again, he tried to make himself hated ala Brock but that didn't work so now make himself look like he can lose, people might now pay to see Anderson lose, he could gain a massive fanbase depending on how his next fight plays out. Now he is fighting Vitor which could be a massive fight depending on where Vitor is physically and mentally and whether he can cut weight correctly. He obviously want to make money and more fans = more PPV buys = more $$$ and that is the basis of what i wanted to say
Again, this is only my opinion, on a forum on the internet, don't freak out because of what i wrote
Thanks

I am pissed at the csac as most of you are but not letting sonnen completely off the hook, I dont agree with their rules and guidelines on drug testing but he knows what they are and knew that something like this could have happened.
you also have to remember that anderson when into the fight with cracked ribs and they were broken in the first round.

I can't believe how retarded this thread is and how retarded the reples are. Are you fucking serious?! Make a thread stating we should thank him?! For what? Winning? Doing what he should do? Like he was just trying to win because he knew chael was gonna fail a drug test?!?! How fucking ridiculous!!! You think chael is out if the ufc?! Your not very smart I guess. Why would that be? Because he failed a drug test like 10 oter people have done? Almost all of whom hae remained in the ufc? also what's up with these theorys?' so first off chael lost on purpose?! I don't fucking think so! Second, Anderson had a plan to get beat the fuck up the whole time also on purpose only to won just to prove a point?! You guys are looking way to into this shit. No fighter would do wither ofthose things. Anderson would never ever get the fuck beat out of him and risk his Career for no reason. If he could have ended the fight in 10 sec he would have. That's it. The fight went how it went, they both tried and fought hard anderson won.

rh | But it could be a Zebra! A Zebra named Melroy who acquired a taste for human flesh and is now hunting you because you threw a peanut at him before he escaped from the Zoo and now he's on a suicide mission to hunt you down no matter what.....
But yeah it's most likely a horse...... Named Byron, who used to be an NYPD police horse until he got kicked off the force for biting a kid who pulled his tail....that kid was you...and soon after he was retired he developed a drinking problem and decided it was time for revenge.....
But yeah Sonnen was probably just tired from kicking Anderson's ass for 4 rounds and got caught. I don't know what was worst, getting caught or the fact that even with high testosterone Chael couldn't leave a mark on Anderson's face while he looked like he just starred in the sequel to the Rodney King video.....
