My brother Valentijn is fighting Antonio Silva on 4 december for his Strikeforce debut! Great news! Alistair Overeem (Alistairovereem) on Twitter
I am quite surprised about this, as he should really be facing someone that is on their way up the ladder.

That's Strikeforce for you, protecting their fighters, but we saw what happened when they try to feed Werdum to Fedor. This is exactly why Strikeforce will never compete with the UFC at least a little bit. Overeem vs Silva, Overeem vs Werdum, Fedor vs Overeem, Fedor vs Silva. These are the fights people want. Have Barnett fight those four also.

Valentijn isn't even gonna make it past the 2 minute mark of the 1st round.
I'm cool with this match-up(although it's ridiculous), it just adds another win to Silva's record & will make him a bigger name when he finally fights Alistair, Fedor, or Barnett.

Bigfoot saying he wants to fight the best and all that stuff, give me a break.
Bigfoot has the edge on the ground(Yes, I said it). Sure Valentijn has good submissions but 15 of his losses are by submission and Bigfoot Silva has a decent offensive ground game, and a spectacular defensive ground game.
Sure, Valentijn has a more diverse and complete stand-up game, with kicks and good knee's, Bigfoot has a better chin, no question and has more power in his hands in my opinion, and Valentijn isn't known for having a good chin.
I'll admit, Valentijn is a very exciting fighter to watch, and only 2 of his fights have ever went to a decision, and only like 3 of his fights ever went to the second round, so he does go out there to kill or be killed, and I love that mentality. Bigfoot is an exciting fighter as well IMO. But I see a big KO from Silva here, because I can't see Valentijn finishing Bigfoot and Valentijn doesn't have the cardio to go 3 hard rounds with Silva. I say Overeem is exhausted before the first bell, and Silva pounces.
