There is no way this even comes close to the Madden Curse (For those who don't follow football/video games....The madden curse is that the player on the cover of the EA sports Madden football game always has a bad season or gets hurt). The Madden Curse is running at something like 90% with one Vick breaking his leg the day the game came out. Hell, NFL players have even refused to be on the cover. A season/career affecting injury to a player is a lot more of a curse than losing 1 fight.

I don't know how it's 20-14. The forrest one was an error as the_dark_angel_4_ever mentioned as well, and they decided to give half points twice just for poor performances, which makes no sense whatsoever. The score is really 18-16 for curse-coverboy, which is 53%-47%. Plus, almost all fighters on the cover was an elite fighter who was probably fighting another elite fighter in his next fight and some were champions, some were challengers.

So, you're telling me that if you are on the cover of FIGHT! magazine , you have nearly a 50-50 chance of winning against another elite fighter? WOW.... what a curse!
