I don't get why WEC fighters stay...honestly as pathetically little as they get paid, I think they can find way more money and success outside he WEC. sure the options are limited but Bellator and DREAM I think are better alternatives.

Thank G-d many of them have great sponsorships...but guys like Bendo and Cerrone who are LWs and can totally fight in the UFC are getting crap pay and MUST be frustrated...

Bonuses are pretty low, I don't know how much money is generated from WEC I guess, I mean they have only had the one PPV. I know, like someone said above, that ZUFFA has a boat load of money, I just don't know how their books work. I mean, if the money isn't being generated from the WEC then maybe thats why the bonuses are so low for WEC, even though they do have a lot of money I guess they can't justify paying $70,000 bonuses to guys in an organization when the money is coming from bigger return investments. Then again WTF do I know, Im just the guy rolling up a dube, eating Lucky Charms.

AS for the fights, the best card I have watched since UFC 116 IMO

Garcia/Hominick- The fact that ANY judge saw that fight 29-28 for Garcia is as bad as any BJ/Frankie, Shogun/Machida decision any day of the week. Its an INSULT to the sport and the fighters for any professional judge to give two rounds to Garcia last night. Hominick looked INCREDIBLE. Pin point movement, accuracy and technique. That was beautiful to watch. He made Garcia look like a total bar fighter.

Zombie/Roop- I guess thats what happens when you satnd flat footed and have your hands dwn by your ribs, I don't care what your nickname is

Torres/Valencia- I felt good for Torres, considering he has had such a fall from grace. He used his reach extremely well, and it looked as though there was absolutely nothing Valencia could do to ever hurt him. Nice finish as well. Torres/Faber actually has some spark to it now as long as Faber goes out and wins

Cerrone/Varner- Entertaining fight, Cerrone is tough as nails. However, he is a GOOD many strides behing Henderson and Pettis. He leaves himself exposed way too much, and as you saw with Ben, and I think as you would see with Pettis, if he does that against a guy with high level stand-up, and someone who he doesn't have reach on, he would be in trouble. Fun to watch nonetheless

Aldo/Manny- What is there to say. Aldo landed FOUR leg kicks in the first round and Mannys leg was swollen and purple. The ONLY reason that fight got to the second is because Aldo let it. The guys is unstoppable at 145 in the WEC. By 2012 look for him to switch classes and/or promotions.

You guys sure love hating on Dana don't you? Since when does Dana give out bonuses for the WEC? I think your hate has blinded your logic...

Thats how i feel. I dont think they're going to shell out a boat load of money when they're putting on a smaller show of 5000 people live attendance and its not a ppv. when the WEC brings in more money they should shell out more money...

dark_angel, I'm concerned about your avatar. I feel it would be remiss if I failed to point out that most times someone is referred to as being "monitored" it doesn't involve their skull being crushed by a circa 2003 cube-farm monitor. It means that someone is merely watching them. Did you realize it was in error?

My "logic" was a joke. I apologize if you didn't find it as amusing. For the record, I don't believe dana hand's out the WEC bonuses, nor do I believe he'd actually find 10k in the cushions of his couch or under the seat of one of his Ferraris.

I do feel that WEC fighters are underpaid.

you might be overlooking that ad revenue from versus brings in quite a bit of money...and that the fights are often replayed on WEC Wreckage shows, etc, bringing in still more revenue.

wtf aldo needs that money, it has been known how poor he has been in the past, but most well known brazillian fighters have said how poor they were in the past but now have a lot of money and have a nice house in brazil and some have come to the states, aldo isnt struggling but he still doesnt have it made. i wonder what would be better for his career, stay humble and work like a horse or have the money to move to the states and have a better life for you and your family and have money to get the best trainers that are dedicated to you.
