127 having Silva and Belfort and Jones and Bader will be an AWESOME event. I don't think the winner of Jones/Bader is quite ready for a title shot yet. I think the winner of this fight should face the winner of Jackson/Machida. If they get through them, only then would they really be ready for a title shot.

Man alot of you guys are discounting Bader and predicting utter murder... I just dont see it.
First off, I think Bones is surely one of the best prospects for this division. Said it over 100 times all the way up to the Matty fight where I was called crazy and jumping on a bandwagon. With that said I also mentioned Bader as one the guys in the division that is growing in a more exponential rate. He has had tougher and more frequent fights to help his experience in the cage flourish.
IMO Bones will win this fight, but not in a dominant fashion. Not in the least. He has a few kinks in his fortress and Bader will play them like a merry go round. Bones does not have the gas tank that Bader has. Although Bader looked tired in the latter part of round three in the Lil Nog fight, he still has better conditioning, IMO than anyone else at LHW. Secondly, Bader is very fast and threatens on the feet and the ground. Something Bones has not felt yet. He will have to keep Bader on the outside
This fight will most likely go the distance and will be a toss up. If it goes to the ground, I have Jones with a slight advantage because it will always be more difficult to control a guy as long and as athletic as Jones. With that said if it stays standing I give Bader the advantage of landing the traditional strike more often than Jones landing a famous back of the head elbow.
This fight is along time coming and will be a VERY good test for all the naysayers and the believers of both fighters. After it we will know if they can hang with the likes of Machida and a healthy Shogun

i mean, imo i think bones can hang with those guys just because of his style and explosion and watching him fight.
but what does 2 prospects fighthing really show us outside of which is the better prospect at the moment.
neither one of these guys have proven to be in machida or shoguns league based on anyone they have beaten, so what does beating each other really show us?

If Jones' comments are to be believed it sounds like he wants to turn it into a wrestle-fest and never even mentioned standing up with Bader. IMO this is a mistake when guys suddenly want to "prove" that they are something they're not. Why fix what isn't broke. Personally I like them both, Bader looked a little gassed against Nog, and Jones has yet to be tested, this seems like it could go either way to me. Hopefully it lives up to the hype unlike recent fights.

Really? Jones has absolutely demolished every opponent infront of him in 1 round except for bonnar which was his 2nd only fight in the ufc. Machida has never seemed that impressive to me to be honest

I do not care when I say that I have not hopped on the Bones wagon yet into believing the hype he's getting.
Sure, the guy is an absolute fucking beast. Dominates in all of his fights so far.
But I won't budge until he starts destroying top-tens like that. If he does that, then i'll believe all this "future of the sport, blah blah blah."
and I don't think Bader is going to get MDK'd.

bones has not been tested yet. go ahead and say he rapes everyone he faces, but look at who he has faced. Not saying he isn't a beast, but imo it hasn't been proven so yet. This is a really good fight to see where he stands. Imo it's going to be really competitive.

Jones is going to smash him, and I'm going to love seeing it.
