So you want to fight a striker to show off your striking and when you face a striker, you take him down immediately and don't stand with him. Now come on Jones, just because you're the one saying it doesn't mean it can't sound fucking retarded. Jones needs to realize that it's not his striking that is his strength but rather his strong judo throws and his wrestling. While his striking might look flashy it's still wild in nature and sloppy at times. (HOW WAS THAT NOT TO THE BACK OF BONNAR'S HEAD???? But I digress) And to whoever said that the winner doesn't get much out of winning this fight is high.

Yea, the Brandon Vera fight he just threw him on the ground and broke his face in, but vera has a good clinch game so he probably just wanted to see if he could do it. I also want to see him face a good striker, no i dont really consider Vera a good striker either. | what the hell are you talking about i didnt say anything remotely close to saying that i dont like jones' personality i love the guy he is one of my top five favorite fighters. you mustve read my post wrong or something.

Although I fully understand what Jones is saying, I think it's a mistake to come into this fight with a bad attitude. He may not like fighting against that style, but from what I read his attitude is borderline nonchalant. I really hope he doesn't try to write off Bader before the cage is locked and it's just them two in there. This fight is still very significant as far as title contention is concerned, and I don't like it when fighters complain about the fights they get.
I also think it's a bit disrespectful of a fighter to be feeling the way he is about this fight. If Jones does end up losing (even though I think he should win) then he will have much more respect for Bader's style in the future.

It would make the night if Bader knocks the fuck out of Jones with that big right hand now.
He wants a better striker?
Give him the loser of Rampage/Machida if he beats Bader.

It's simple, the UFC isn't excited about Bader, they want Jones to become their LHW Anderson Silva, maybe set up a superfight down the road. Aside from a overhand right (surprise a wrestler who's best punch is a overhand right..not like it's almost EVERY fighter's best punch or anything..), Bader really doesn't come across as being that special to me. tough guy, a good contender but I don't see that hint of greatness in him. He'll have his chance to shock the world. But I do think it would have to be almost a Miracle punch, cause the LnP ain't gonna get it done against a guy who knows how to scramble off his back and has good tdd.

He does have a point though with matchmaking putting him against mostly fighters with a wrestling base. Regarding this fight however, I see Jones having far too many weapons on his belt for Bader to prepare for. I mean it's like Batman against the security guard at the grocery store. Jones via something we will talk about for the next 6 months lol!

I don't like the fact that Jones publicly said all Bader has is a double-leg and some sub-par boxing. It's okay to think that but why give your opponent even more motivation to kick your ass? That's just my opinion, I'm old school that way.
With that being said, I think Jones will wreck him. I don't think Bader's wrestling credentials are even as good as Hamill's, can any wrestlers on here confirm that? I'm not trying to be a smartass, I'm genuinely curious. Plus if Nog wore Bader out, what will Jones do to him? Yeah, yeah I know MMA math blah blah blah, but Jones just seems superior to me at this point in their careers.

Jones has a point, but I think they're giving him Bader to actually test his grappling skills. No one thus far has been able to and Bader has the pedigree to possibly make this interesting on the ground or against the cage.
I'm not a believer in Bader's ability to reach the top because I see him as having a limited skill set, but maybe he can prove me wrong. Until then, I see Jones doing some real damage to him.
