I hope the writer of the article knows thats he'll never get another interview with Nick if he finds out about the "bud brownie" bit. Nick hates talking about that shit and yeah we all get it he's a stonier yet he'll tune your ass up BIG TIME!
100k ain't all that when you have training camps the talent pool of Nick's caliber, plus him and Nate take care of their family really hard, like Karo Parisyan was doing! Quote:

Diaz will be in the UFC, when his contract is over. I watched a interview with Dana, and he said that he liked Nick, but that "He wouldn't play the game, even a little bit."
This totally looks like Nick is throwing a message out there for Dana, letting him know he's ready.

California State Income Tax Rates
CA State Tax Rates | CA Tax Calculator | Cost of Living Calculator
Before using our Income Tax Calculator, here are some basic tax principles that you should know. California state income tax along with a federal tax is usually withheld from your paycheck as you receive it each pay cycle. While the federal income tax rates are set for each income bracket, CA state income tax rates do not necessarily align with the federal figures.
The variable income tax rate for California is determined by CA state tax legislation. How much income tax that is withheld from your paycheck depends on which tax bracket you fall under. In general the more you make, the more you will be taxed. To find out more about CA income tax, sales tax, W4 forms, 1040 forms, tax returns, current state tax rates and general California tax information, click here for the Franchise Tax Board.
How California State income tax rates are structured
If your income range is between $47,056 and $1,000,000, your tax rate on every dollar of income earned is 9.3%.
which is complete bullshit, btw... but anyway, let's round up to 10% Tax Brackets (Federal Income Tax Rates) 2000 through 2009 and 2010
federal income tax would probably between 171.850+ and thus it is... 33 % WHICH IS ON TOP OF THE 10%, so all ready nick has paid over 40% of his earnings to Obama...
THEN there's city taxes, Stocton has an additional 9% income tax...so that is now well above HALF of his money over to the government...
so 47k isn't as much as a 100k now is it?

Now toss training camps, travel, insurance, and misc. fees associated with being a fighter (equipment, supplements, etc.) and you're most definitely freaking broke.

I dont like to stereo type people, but he's a city kid who doesnt appear terribly bright. I'm sure he doesnt plan too far ahead. He's probably a compulsive spender. Clearly has a drug habit. I could go on, but that type of person typically isnt real good at managing money. I mean if he had a brain in his head, the first thing he should do is put in the max yearly contribution to the IRA he probably doesnt have.

You make a good point, but still $47K for one fight is more than enough to provide a good life for yourself. He's doing something wrong.
