On Tennis, the titles of all main competitions give the athletes the Grand Slam, something that names such as Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have achieved. On the fights, something similar was conquest b the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Ronaldo Jacaré.

After becoming absolute and weight champion of Jiu-Jitsu and winning ADCC on his division and on a super fight, in 2009, the Brazilian won his first MMA belt on Strikeforce, beating the tough Tim Kennedy, and remind of his entire journey on an exclusive article, published on this month’s edition of TATAME Magazine.

“I feel pretty good being the current champion of Strikeforce, but I want more than that. I’d like to fight on UFC, but for now I’m cool on Strikeforce and I don’t intend to leave the event. I want to become the number one in my division… I want to win more titles, it’s all just starting for me”, celebrates Jacaré, revealing the sad part of leaving the Jiu-Jitsu mats for MMA cages.

Cannot wait until he is in the UFC, period.

No Jacare, WE ALL would like to see you fight in the UFC, hell, we'd love it!

He's evolving at such a tremendous pace and the combination of his everimproving skills and his disgusting BJJ makes him an utter force at MW. I personally consider him to be the heir to the MW division and while he still needs to make improvements, he's the type of fighter who I believe will be around for quite a long time.

Yeah, his BJJ is ridiculous, and his stand up has been ever improving. There aren't a lot of up and coming Middleweights out there, it seems, so someone of his caliber could really spice up UFC's division. I do love that he's the champ for Strikeforce at 185 though, hence the sig.

Anybody else find it kinda ironic/bleedingly hilarious that a fucking Strikefarce World Champion basically says they want to fight for another promotion? What does that really say about the value of the belt and your champions feelings about the promotion? Something akin to you have a pretty girlfriend and she's alright, but there's some other girl who's smoking that you'd much rather be with.

Exactly the message I was trying to convey in the other thread. It would be wonderful to see him fight on a larger stage.

I would love to see Jacare in the UFC. He is awsome fighter that keeps improving. His hands seem to get better with every fight. I still think his conditioning is a bit of an issure but he has awsome bjj. I dont think his bjj is on the level of Mia though.

LOL I dont think that for Coker is nice to hear that one of his champions wants to fight in a rival organization.

He's the best in his weight class in Strikeforce. I'd like to see him in the UFC, but I'll watch him fight no matter which organization he's with. His standup has greatly improved and his BJJ is at an elite level. Not to mention, he's an entertaining fighter.
