and HW TUF would be a disaster. TUF 2's HWs were boring, and only like 3 guys from the show actually stayed at HW. an all HW TUF would just be dumb. they need to sign established talent, like they've been trying with Cro Cop and Heath Herring.
it takes too long to build up potential winners in such a shallow division. its ok in a stacked WW or MW division, but the best of a HW TUF would get like 2 cans then get thrown to the wolves against like AA or Vera. |
True enough, the LW division does need some shuffling and some regrouping, especially now that we've got a Matt Hughes-sized gorilla as the champion. I guess my whole beef is that we could possibly see Jens f'n Pulver get a title shot almost right after getting knocked out in 48 seconds.
Now someone educate me: is it really THAT diffcult to find quality HW fighters? Isn't there anyone in KOTC, ROTR, or Cage Rage that the UFC can tap to be on the show? Or is every half-decent 235 lb can already signed to a mainstream organization?
Lastly, we've only had the HW division on TUF once...give it a chance again. Even though a couple of those guys dropped down (Evans, Jardine), they're doing alright.
