Don't forget that Herring is in the mix now. Although he had his problems overseas, he is a very competent HW in the UFC. Perhaps number 4 after CC, Vera, AA and Sylvia. He at least brings some good match ups to the table.

You took the words right outa my mouth. My guess is that after O'Brien he would get a title shot. If remember correctly, that is what the Sherdog article said, but am I missing something though? To my knowledge we still don't even know if he is in fact coming to the UFC. The most recent news I have heard is below from MMAnews.com

Mirko Filipovic rejected news which hit the internet on Thursday on Sherdog.com, a famous internet site for MMA news, which said that the Croatian gladiator already signed the offer from the American organization (UFC).

"I repeat, I received an offer from the UFC and other organizations. Within these offers, I have NOT promised anyone something, nor signed any kind of agreement. I will pick the best offer, the first day I receive it. I don't know who is hiding behind 'some source within Mirko camp' because no one except me knows how I will continue my sport career."

That's what I've heard as well. To my knowledge there still has not been a definite report as to what organization he will be fighting with yet.

He definitely doesn't need a can but it would be a smart decision to feed him one to give him some exposure among all the un-knowledgeable UFC fans.

But would you rather see CroCop take on Big Tim for the title, or would you rather see him take on Vera if he is the champ at the time?

I'm sure he would get to fight them both (considering Vera stays in UFC) but what are the first 3 or 4 fights you would ideally like to see CroCop have in the UFC?

It is my opinion, and one of multiple others, that his signing with the UFC will be announced at UFC 66. It will be the UFC's biggest PPV ever going by PPV buys and attendence, so it would be a logical opportunity to reveal their new HW champion.
