|  any news on Aleks ?
right before Aleks fought Werdrum I heard that he was talking about coming to ufc, anyone hear anything about that?

Yeah, the Aleks coming to the UFC rumor was around but I don't think anything has developed from it. He is rumored to be on the the March Bodog card along with Fedor vs. Monson. An opponent hasn't been announced yet. You can find it on the MMAWeekly rumors page.

I know he spent time in prison overseas maybe that has something to do with him being able to get a work visa or something

a felony would definitely put the kybosh on a work visa, but i dont know if thats required for a fight, not sure though, and like killer said it may be bs anyway, i never read anything official either

I would love to see him in ufc as he will never get a shot to fight for the belt in Pride as long as Fedor is around but then he will just get his head kicked off again by CC

Yeah he was convicted of armed robbery in russia. Most of his tattoos are prison tattoos.
Also you do indeed need a work visa in order to fight in the US. That's why Lee Murray never came back because he couldn't get a visa, so an armed robbery conviction could definatly atleast make ti more difficult to get him in for fights.
